The only other person I have seen in Scarborough with a scarf over his face was Jimmy Saville. It was in the sixties we had gone for a lads Sunday out at Scarborough on the train and was walking along the seafront and saw him on a Scooter which was done up like a Christmas tree. Obviously, unlike you it wasn't to keep the cold out but to try a disguise himself.

Little did we know then what a twat he would turn out to be.
I saw him in the sixties in Scarborough. He was driving a white open top Mercedes outside Jimmy Corrigan's amusement. He wasn't bothered about the attention that day.

North riding county cup 1/4 final

Scarborough Athletic 3 Redcar 0

To be expected as Redcar are a couple of leagues below Scarborough

Semi final draw

York City v Thornaby

Marske v Scarborough Athletic

Amazing that everyone knew about the fat ice-cream seller in Scarborough and he never got done .

As for JS I always thought he was gay.
Looking back that's what he wanted people to think the vile basxxd.

What a great win for Scarborough today

Bamber Bridge made a big mistake kicking with the wind behind them and were still shattered at half time

Playing into a gale in the second half the couldn't get out of there half and nearly scored an own goal from a goal kick

Ball went in the air and blew back , only just missing their goals bar

Scarborough all over Bamber Bridge and should have scored a lot more goals

Very one sided game.

Great stuff

856 drowned rats at the game

:)

Sneaking up the league

But so many teams have games in hand

Still a great fight back this season under Darren Kelly after such a bad start under John Deacy

Yeah I was quite excited when I saw the points column, but read this and then looked at the games played. 19th place Ashton could leapfrog Scarborough if they win their games in hand. Better to have points in the bag, so hope for a massive fixture backlog end of season for all other teams? Why the difference? Is it because your pitch is all weather?

Scarborough don't get games called off and we went out of the fa cup qualifiers early and the fa trophy

Hence we end up playing more games

Bad result today and my internet was off so never heard and radio Commentary

What I heard was Scarborough had loads of chances but Warrington's goalie had a great game saving some good efforts and Scarborough also missed some easy chances

Home next saturday v Radcliffe

Good win for Scarborough against a poor Radcliffe team who was never in the game apart from 10 mins in the second half

Was bloody freezing at the flamingo land stadium

Around 20 Radcliffe supporters thrown out....beer thrown over Scarboroughs goalie ..smoke bombs ...extra police called to the ground.

Another day back to the 70s .

Radcliffe don't usually bring more then 10 fans

Got told Bury supporters who have become orphans have started following Radcliffe and have cause trouble a few times this season

It was a good atmosphere though .
:-)

Next home game is Gainsborough Trinity Saturday march the 28th

:-(

Looks good until you realise how many games in hand others have

Next game for me is Marske United away in the north riding cup semi final

Everyday is a good one Mr Cambridge Tiger

Fingers crossed city will stay up.

Bloody Leeds grrrrr

I was lucky really because with me spending years in Scarborough or near to Scarborough it didn't seem I was being such a traitor to Hull City who I always want to win

I listened on the radio to City v Leeds
most of the second half while at the flamingo land stadium

To me no one is a traitor mate there are many circumstances around the club atm. Also personal circumstances change too. Football is the winner.

I know even when I lived near Cambridge I rearly missed a city game home or away that was a 300+ mile round trip. Now I go when I can be arsed. Hopefully that will change when we get new owners but I'm not holding my breath.

Hopefully, I'll be joining you guys, flight booked for the 18th March returning here 2nd April, so all things being equal I'll be on that train. I'll be at the Boro game, so more than likely see a loss, so I'm hoping Scarborough can get the win over Curtis Woodhouse Gainsbourgh T.

Blimey, that's a long flight. Do you have to flap your own wings? :emoticon-0100-smile
