Good Morning. It's Tuesday 18th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Cooper - Whites are in good shape mentally and physically Leeds Captain Liam Cooper believes the White are in good shape mentally and physically to see out their remaining 13 games and remains confident that Bielsa's men will finish strongly This comes after a recent interview with former player Pontus Jansson who claimed he was “mentally and physically tired” during last season’s run-in. “We always believe,” “We are confident in the way that we play, in our philosophy and we will keep going. This run-in is so important and we have got to be bang at it every week. “We’ve just got to keep chalking the games off. Approach them in the right way, stick to the way we play, and what will be at the end of the season will be. “We’ll be giving everything as we do every week with the intensity and fitness levels.” “The boys are so fit, we recover well,” he said. “We’ve got a week until the next game (at home to Reading) and we’ll prepare properly for that. This completely contradicts Coopers concerns he shared with former Striker Michael Bridges during Leeds pre season tour of Australia where Michael Bridges was quoted as saying I was speaking to a few of players, (including) Liam Cooper the captain… they just felt after Christmas they’d almost run out of energy, the way they’d been playing football,” Thoughts? please log in to view this image If you were Manager..... Which of the following players below would you show the back door to should Leeds get promoted? Which of the loanees apart from Ben White, if you had the option whether or not to sign them (regardless of any agreements Leeds have with their parent club) would you sign up / let go? The valuations are courtesy of transfermarkt.co.uk. If you had to trim 6 players from the squad, who would they be? Morning all.... Who would you show the door to depends on too many factors, which division we are in, who is in charge, who owns us. For being either not good enough or too injury prone for me Kiko, Roberts, Forshaw, Douglas and Berardi all need to go and be replaced by better. Forshaw started the season well but he is far too injury prone. If we’re in the PL next season, I’d consider replacing Alioski and Pablo, age isn’t on Pablos side, Alioski I don’t believe would be good enough in the PL
6 players! That's nearly half the squad! Ok.... if I HAD to... Casilla. Douglas. (Injuries) Forshaw (injuries) Roberts (injuries) Bamford. Berardi. I might keep Bamford and Berardi as squad players. Forshaw too if his hip is ok.
Morning all, When looking at the squad and who to get rid of (if promoted) it must be remembered that the Bielsa ethos is the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts, so whilst the players look pretty average, together playing as a team they're capable of consistently producing outstanding football. So on that basis I'm struggling to think of 6. 4 I'd get rid of would be: Casilla Huffer Douglas Forshaw
I've never been a big fan of Cooper. He always has that one big mistake in him but he tends to do it at the worst time! He has won me over in Bielsas team though so I have left him alone. He is going well again this year. Pontus and even Bartley are way ahead of him still imo. Although everytime I see Bartley he seems to be scoring at the wrong end!

The great Lev Yashin, best keeper in world of his era. He had just about everything considering how heavy ball was and the boots were toe pokers. I had 2 heros as a young keeper, Yashin and Gordon Banks.
That's why it's a generation thing. I always liked David Harvey and for a non Leeds Utd player Pat Jennings... Nidge was very good as well though.
I've always liked him Elland even when he was prone to mistakes, would he be good enough for the Prem. I don't see why not.. I don't listen to tittle tattle with ex players and as soon as they use the word quoted I feel its a lie. I'm not going say who should be ditched as we still have to get to the Prem and I feel its a bit disrespectful to them as they are still playing for us. But that's just me Elland, its a good question though.
and a nice bloke apparently. I remember seeing on match of the day him catching the ball with one hand, he also scored a goal as well.
