Vieira had days when he looked a world beater (was it McLaren, that eulogised over him when we beat derby) - but he also had days when he couldn’t hit a white shirt. Partly inexperience but I think it was really hard to look good as a midfielder in that team generally - no one to pass to.

That’s what bielsa has done. If you are good enough technically and work hard off the ball, learn the patterns of play he likes, you will always have multiple receivers available when you get the ball ...it makes everyone look a better footballer. The whole being greater than the sum of the parts - and why mb is more fixated with oiling the parts and tuning the engine than he is with ordering a new turbo.

All the calls for plan B and dropping this one and bringing in this one have been kicked firmly into touch by Bielsa's size nines.
Just do plan A properly and teams can't live with us.
My only concern is if we lose Philips through suspension or injury. I think with Shacks back we would be better than we were but since he returned we've been superb.

Maybe he should get sent off every 3 months:grin:

well it’s loyalty if you believe it was his choice to stay:biggrin:

people read too much into these things - kp is a Leeds fan a nice lad and a very good footballer - particularly in this system. Whatever disappointment he may have had in the summer he has knuckled down and no one could question his commitment. And it’s professionalism and commitment on the field fans should look for and be happy with. Loyalty is a fanciful and outdated quality in modern football. Players don’t get it from clubs, clubs don’t get it from players.
I believe if the lad decided he wanted to go, he would be gone. Wood refused to play one game, and was gone.
