Match Preview;
Having thrashed Swansea in the cup in January we now play them at their place after a disappointing weekend defeat against Huddersfield. This leaves us needing to pick up points asap to ensure we don't have a nerve racking end to the season. Swansea, on the other hand, are only 4 points off a playoff spot, but will be disappointed to have lost 2-3 at home to Derby on Saturday. Their top scorer is Ayew with 12 goals. They have scored 37 and let in 37 this year, which gives them the joint second best defense of any team outside the top six, but also the joint second worst scoring record, with 5 teams having scored 37, and only Wigan (29) having scored less. Who knows what this will mean for Tuesday night...could be a good chance to improve our defensive record, could also be tough place to score a few...we will wait and see.

Thanks Dave, great to see those clips again. If we get at them we should win again. I'd like to see Rangel get a game against them, but even more I'd like to see BOS unleashed as a wing back, Eze playing forward getting beyond Hugill where he can really hurt them, Amos pressing them like the PitBull that's in him somewhere from early season, in a 3 5 2, something like this.

An interesting team selection. :)

My only “constructive” comment is that I am not sure if BOS has experience of playing as a “wingback”?

I've never seen him play there but hope he's trained and practised as a wing back. For me he looks like he's a shoe in for the role quick, tough, strong on the ball and seems aware defensively - one great goal saving tackle Saturday showed awareness as well as great speed. I've never seen him as a striker, he's looked lost to me when he's been moved more central, but out wide...

Thanks Dave, some great memories and some great players in the 2010 highlights.

Maybe the likes of Eze & Chair should try and emulate some of the greats from 2010 and Hugil could learn a thing or two from Helguson or even Mackie!

This is a game we could do with getting something from. I guess it depends which Rangers team turns up. Hopefully the bloody minded ones with win on their minds the one that will fight for every ball and challenge every 70-30 (not in their favour)......regardless of what Swansea throw at them

Why would we ever consider taking one of our most dangerous attacking threats and playing him in a more defensive position?!?!?!?!? Bizarre to say the least. This lad should be naturally on the wing or right up with hugill where he can do the damage, not ****ing tracking their winger for the game!

Time to change things round a bit? Perhaps back to the 3 5 2 we played early season, but having defensive midfielders who are very aware of the space behind our wing backs where we got caught out playing that way.

I have to agree. When playing 3 at the back I believe that 2 defensive midfielders should start. Defend as a 5 and attack as a 5.
