See you later fat lad. Roll of the dice from Charlton who will probably go back down despite Bowyer's sparkling personality.

Gives us a bit of room to do something on deadline day, I think he was one of the bigger wages. Depends on the terms of the deal but it'll help get someone better in.

McGeady out, Semenyo in

McNulty out, Duncan in

Declan Johns in

I think that’s the transfers we’ll see today.

How long is left on his contract ?

Says he signed a 3 year in July 2017 then says he signed a year in July 2019.
Is that a year extension to 2021 or a typo ?

Let's hope that we can shunt grigg out as well by 'close of play', but I suspect that, whether it be fee or wages, most ( of the standard he is suited to ) wont be able to afford him without us giving a leg up as it were.

But is macgeady staying?
Seriously the undisguised glee at his departure is baffling.
He was easily our best player last season and after maja went the only person who could score. Without him we would never have got in the playoffs even.
Yes it went pear shaped but I have seen far more worse and disruptive players in an safc shirt

McGeady did very well for us last season but it's clear that something changed this season and Parkinson has clearly identified him as the source.

Good luck to him, hope his move works out well enough to become permanent.

We've been far better since he has been dropped though and I'd argue that we're seeing the benefit of him being out of the team specifically in the performances of Hume and Gooch who now have more freedom to play without McGeady having to be the talisman.

I hope that Grigg is worth a gamble by a championship side as well, and yes, I am smoking crack this morning. :emoticon-0176-smoke

The biggest improvement is defensively where McGeady rarely, if ever, offered any help whatsoever.

Hume has certainly benefited in that respect.

Aren't you always banging on about how nasty bullies are? Well that's what McGeady was doing to several of our younger players and it's not ok. There's a clear correlation between him not playing and both results and team spirit improving dramatically.

It's the last day of the transfer window and we've moved on a fat bully who's been useless all season and has been holding the team back. That's why we're pleased.
