I'm no City bod, mate, but I think investmenr fund vs individual ownership has different rules. Man City aren't owned by Mansour, who could easily do so - they're owned by investment funds.

Mike's been running this on empty since he took over - he could easily sanction OTT sponsorship from the likes of SD, Lilywhites, Firetrap, Lonsdale, etc., and fudge the figures to make us competitive. Easily. He just chooses not to bother. Add in the fact he could let the club "lose" against revenues in line with FPP and new owners could probably spend around £300m on players in a single window. Our finances are so in-check, we have more wiggle room than any other top flight club, anywhere in the world.
