Dunno if we have a thread about him. But I'm sure if we do one of our 17 mods can merge them. preferably not the one who lives off cans and bitterness.

Latest reports are Newcastle want to put in a "firm" bid for Bowen, maybe the player Bruce and Ashley discussed about in their meeting.

Good signing imo.

When do serious bidders announce that they want to put a bid in? Just do it -dont tell us you want to do it.

Our only ways of getting quality premiership players are either to bring them through or buy "potential". Occasionally a good quality player will become available who we can actually get but even then there is a feeling of "how good can they actually be if they've chosen us?".

Bowen is a worthy gamble and even if he does poorly we'd get most of our money back selling him on.

I like how apparently Bruce has got assurances from Ashley that he will be backed in the transfer market in the meeting held THIS WEEK when we are half way through the window.

I suspect they do all the sniffing about and when they know where they stand they talk to bruce on what his preferences are .

To let other clubs know so they stop playing hardball with another target elsewhere the press know **** all about

Clubs rarely ever do business at the start of a window. It's usually looking around having a sniff and checking prices.

Now we have a list and we discuss reality.

I just said that, but with greater accuracy
