We were playing Liverpool at home in the '70s and a pantomime horse came on the pitch. The Gelderd started singing 'To my 'orse, to my 'orse, singing goodbye to my 'orse & as I was singing goodbye to my 'orse I was singing goodbye to my horse.' This was to the tune of Bless em all and it is a ditty that I haven't heard before or since but it will always stay with me.

Nick name given to me when I moved to Stockport after leaving the army. Nobody is quite sure why. It may have something to do with the dodgy bowl cut I was sporting at the time, as I was growing my hair.

so everytime a club changes owner or gets relegated its a new club..... you dickhead. I could go on to state why your such an idiot for it even crossing your mind whether your trying to get a reaction or not, whether you actually believe that statement or not but its not worth my time. The fact that the thought entered your mind is enough reason that you are the biggest ****ing idiot in the world

Erm, it's not a case of "when a club changes owner" it's when an owner scraps the club like Bates did. Two very different situations, but like you both very simple.

I guess the clueless nature of your reply means I've lost my world title. Congratulations you were up against stiff opposition with some of your fellow deluded and clueless TWS posters. <cool>

Bates gambled and scrapped the football club as it was (oldco) and created a new club (newco).

His gamble was that the football authorities would transfer the golden share that allows the club in the league from the oldco to the newco.
By rights, Bates actions meant that Leeds United ceased to exist in the league pyramid and newco should have taken a place at the bottom of the league pyramid.
This was deliberated at some length, eventually the authorities made a special case and gave the spare place to the newco, the oldco was scrapped.
The position in the league was conditional on Bates not appealing and some token points reduction.

It was well reported at the time but tends to get brushed over in any leeds versions of events.

I'm amused you think it's bitterness when I point out the problem TWS have when they try to claim a history they don't have.

    1. I think your talking **** because you are required to change your name when your club ceases to exist. And also we did fight that points deduction until pretty much the last day of the season. We also had all the same staff and players so.... as i said your talking ****

    2. Even IF you weren't talking ****, what makes a club a club? the fans is the simple answer. MK Dons moved completely, changed everything about them. Leeds have not. No matter how much you try to argue, you are wrong. Like you said earlier in this very thread, just because you believe something doesnt mean its true. That works for you as well.

    3. your a dickhead

Perhaps if one of you ladies actually tried to answer instead of just screeching childish abuse, it could be put to bed, but while you hide behind claims of past history, the topic stays I'm afraid.

I can almost picture your bottom lip quivering and your foot stomping as you typed that childish babble.

TWS boards have a history of deluded posters. I'm really starting to believe that it's one poster with several usernames. That's easier to believe than one club having so many thick twats posting in its name.

Your question about what makes a Club is a good one. We've changed totally from the Club I started following. Different board, ground, training centre etc. There's a difference between the football and business sides of a club. We kept the golden share giving the right to play in the league, TWS didn't.

Bates moved all of the assets, including players to the newco, all the oldco had was the right, but no means, of playing in the league.

So basically what your saying is Bates is a lot cleverer than anyone who was involved in the disbanding of Hull?

You don't need to go on and on about the same thing, we have all got your point but that makes no difference all it means is that I know the history of Leeds United and I know that the club changed name blaa blaa blaa but its still my club and Ill still support it,

Nope, we didn't get disbanded and we didn't get a points deduction. I'd say that makes those dealing with our issues not only brighter, but with better morals.

As for the rest of your reply, you'll never grasp the issue with your head stuffed where it is. As long as you squeal about the wrong issue, that fact remains TWS are one of the newest clubs in the league and have no history. It's just how it is.

I support Leeds who are a new club but in the short amount of time they have had they have become one of the best supporter clubs in the country? are more well known than Hull who have been around a lot lot longer than them?

If it makes you happy to believe that, it's fine by me. It's nearer to reality than the other bollocks spewed out about TWS.

See, what others think doesn't really matter to me. I support City because it's my home town club. I don't need any more justification than that. <cool>

Just to go back to this one where you state we are screeching childish abuse! I would class your petulance about something that really no-one cares about is actually a lot more childish!

Also Constantly calling Leeds United TWS is slightly hypocritical of that comment because it is very very childish!

No-one cares about TWS in general, yet so many of you squeal when I post a simple fact about their lack of history.
As for the TWS epithet, it's not childish, it's factual. You also need to look up what petulance means, have a look at some of the TWS replies for worked examples.<cool>
