I felt this claim warranted some investigation and being a trusted GC elder I took it upon myself to do just that.
After extensive sleuthery I can now confirm the real reason you were banned.

El Tel owns a hotel in Spain?
That was the plan that he was telling me about, no sign of it in the photos. The hotel is lovely but up in the hills miles from anywhere.
Has he? I remember there was a lot of opposition from locals to the golf course he wanted to build plus other plans for around the hotel.
I read a couple of reviews that said it's gone downhill since Tel sold it.
I'm tempted to go back there as it was a little different with it being isolated and up in the hills but there are so many place to go. Hoping for a price to go back down on where we want to go at the moment after my oldest dragging his feet as usual and with his graduation date and the holiday we wanted going up by £300 per person.
