3) if you live 2 hours from Ipswich there is NO excuse for not being a season ticket holder. Plenty of Norwich ST I have come across live far and wide and make huge sacrifices for the club which makes me feel so great. Basing the bulk of your opinions on hearsay and what you see on tv is fine if you live in timbucktwo but not when you live in the capital and you can get a direct train to right outside the ground in an hour.

Beast - You clearly have never been to London as it would take about 2.5 hours for me to get to Ipswich as London is quite a big place I'll have you know and I do make a handful of home games. However it doesn't matter if people don't manage to see any games live in a season, there opinion is just as valid.

Also apologies, I didn't notice this was posted on both the Norwich and Ipswich board, I should have checked first. However there is still no need to call people you have never met c**ts and f***ers just because the support a rival team. In my opinion you are embarrassing to supporters of be Ipswich and Norwich with that sort of attitude!

People aren't made of money. A season ticket at Portman Road is gonna cost a good £450 for a decent seat, add at least another £400 or so on top for travelling that makes upwards of £850 per season. Not to mention the 6 hours or so out of your day it would take to make such a journey, night games are pretty much out if the question. Some town fans do come from far and wide, its just difficult to make it a regular occurance.

Well beast it was me specifically you were accusing of only watching MOTD and picking up hearsay. It wasnt aimed at any general population of Ipswich fans it was aimed directly at me.

I live around five hours from Ipswich and I STILL make it to 12-15 Town games a season plus another five or six on the box.

So, I think I'm pretty well placed to have a valid opinion on the team.

I can also have a valid opinion on the Norwich side from what I've seen exclusively on MOTD and Sky Sports and I don't see any gulf between the clubs. I see a Norwich side with a good midfield who can stroke the ball around between the penalty areas but can't defend their own box for toffee or finish chances at the other end. Without signing some better defenders and attackers like QPR have done Norwich will probably be relegated.

When I look at Ipswich I see a side with quality from front to back who are on an upward spiral and will soon be performing like promotion challengers.

And the key difference is - we can afford to strengthen so when we get back into the PL we won't be looking like a League One side who got lucky.
