What i don't understand with VAR and the offside rule is - an outfield player should be judged on where their feet are rather than arms because if the ball hits the arms of an outfield player, its handball.

An obvious error obviously!!!!

Where the officials clearly made a wrong decision.....it ain't rocket science....cut out the subjective decisions....

VAR hit a new low during gameweeks 19 and 20 in the Premier League.

In truth, it was a complete and utter sh*tshow.

There were a whole host of overturned decisions with numerous goals being chalked off due to a stray armpit. Is this really what VAR was brought in for?


Harry Kane, Dan Burn, Max Meyer, Teemu Pukki, Pedro Neto and Lys Mousset were all denied goals for very minimal offsides.

It's led to a petition from football fans asking for the removal of VAR for the rest of the Premier League season.

As you probably know by now, here at GIVEMESPORT, we try to ignore VAR completely.

Each week, we work out how the Premier League table would look without VAR. To do so, we identify all the overturned VAR decisions from the previous gameweek and speculate how it has affected that match in question.

Of course, it's arbitrary but it's the most accurate way of working out how VAR has changed things in the Premier League this season.

In this article, we look at gameweeks 19 AND 20.

It is supposed to be a clear and obvious mistake, if you have to use a line and forensically examine it to the width of a toenail then that is not clear and obvious and you have to question the technology when it is at an angle to the camera. This system is flawed...

I find it extraordinary that the authorities continue to use VAR in this way. Can they not see how far out of tune they are with the football-supporting public?
