HIAG mate, you have consistently demonstrated over the years on here that you have a scratch the surface knowledge of football, and now you're here trying to tell us that you used to be a referee.

I reffed at under 11 level for around six continuous seasons for local clubs, including cup games.

VAR is good mate people should embrace it for the great things it does … the focus is far too much on the negatives … there was a major reason it was brought in and it was people moaning about decisions

Have you been at a game where 30,000 plus supporters are left hanging like lemons, waiting for VAR to decide if they can celebrate/feel gutted? It's ****.

No. The PGMOL themselves said pre season that they’d only use VAR to overrule CLEAR AND OBVIOUS errors. They’re not doing that. There’s now been 3 this weekend alone where they’ve gone to protractor level minutiae to give an offside. Which is not correcting a clear and obvious mistake. They’re going against their own decree, it’s bollocks.

it was clearly offside … I didn't even complain about our game yesterday mate btw I think var has flaws but overall it gets a lot right and we don't se goals that are a yard or more off and we don't see red cards for no contact dives and no pens for no contact dives ..im sick of people ignoring the horrible things var has got rid of in the game

ive been to a game and lost through goals that were offside and pens with no contact and that sucks

Me and Archers went to a cup final less than 3 years ago where a huge offside decision went against us.

And I still say **** var, **** var straight in the fartpipe.

well that's fine , but what you're saying suggests you prefer being raped

Jago Davies: As a rugby fan, watching football fall apart over VAR is actually quite upsetting to see. They should use it like they do in rugby - let the officials on the pitch make the calls & review video if needed - not let VAR run the game. I feel sorry for all football fans.

Well at least you found your level I suppose.

It's the same game, played by the same rules.

And if you think the games are less competitive for being played by a younger generation, it is you who is clueless.
