https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/december/bolton-wanderers/ozturk-post-bolton OzTurk interview “it was a big improvement” 0-0 v the bottom side in the league is classed as that by an experienced player. I’m going to lie down in a darkened room.
https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...s-details-conversation-stewart-donald-1349975 Parkinson. “My record suggests it’s as strong as any bodies”. It’s actually the worst in the history of safc. I seem to remember Grayson spouting that shortly before the end
https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...sunderlands-under-fire-phil-parkinson-1349969 Well that’s all right then basically the fans are the problem. Expecting to much. if as he says 21 other managers would like this squad, well the window opens in 6 days for them to be snapped up
Sack the gormless prat, we’re 15th in the 3rd tier of football, and counting ****e like today as an improvement is embarrassing.
I can’t remember the year but we were in the second tier . After about 9/10 games we were about 8th . Next game was Wigan at home , they were in form and in first place . No disrespect to that Wigan side , but when the manager said - “”this ( home game v. Wigan the away side) is a great opportunity to gauge our progress”” I thought , blimey , could we fall any lower than this comparison of our ability . Little did I know then .
Have to say I thought the fans stuck with them today. Much more than previously! Haven’t watched the video as I was there and I know how bad we were unti, the last 10 minutes when their keeper actually had to make a save!!
Which are a lot more use than a handkerchief or a scented candle. I'd like to think that he'll come to be appreciated - like a good pair of socks!
Parkinson reminds me of Eric Morecambe, says all of the right things ... ... but not necessarily in the right order
We' dominated the match' which one ? not the Bolton one i presume. I see 10,000 turning up vs Lincoln we are not like the soft mags.
Utterly clueless, he is just waiting for the chop and get a nice payoff. We know it, he knows it....matter of time.
I see that the club has now wheeled out ozturk to give a glowing account of how good a manager and coach PP is. How he talks to all the players, how hard he works etc etc. This followed recent similar spruiking by o9. I really find this tedious and scraping the bottom of the barrel. I'm amazed that ozturk could keep a straight face. We could easily have lost 3 or 4 nil to bwfc, a team cobbled together with buttons and laccy bands. There was no cohesion or creativity. 12 days straight on the training ground and still they looked like strangers.
Whilst I am not Parkinson’s biggest fan (or even a fan), I’d like to know who was manager for the best home performance you’ve seen in the last 4 or 5 seasons on here? (Opinions I’m after as I’m not trying to push mine) He was managing for my favourite. The Tranmere game is the most complete performance I’ve seen. What happened after that? Why could those players not do the same every week? I can’t imagine, in the game after that, he’s said “don’t play like you did against Tranmere” I simply can’t pick a better game to watch at the SOL For years!!
