Your plans over Christmas?

Contrary to the millions around the UK and the world, Christmas doesn't fill me with the same magic and excitement that most get.

Of course, it's great to see the look on the younguns faces, but for me, I see it as an overhyped day, with the sole purpose of getting people to part with as much cash as possible.

But for those of you that enjoy the day and time to its full, what are your plans?

I keep it simple, night in with the lass tonight, a gym session in the morning, followed by the compulsary visits to family tomorrow. All the while, waiting for the football and darts to get up and running from Boxing Day and beyond.

Dinner with the family tomorrow as well as flying around other relatives houses throughout the day.

In tonight with the family. A full team of outlaws at mine tomorrow. I provide the venue, the food n the drink. The tight b*stards do not even bring a bottle of milk. The only part of the day I enjoy is when we play Cards against Humanity. Anyway I book taxi's and kick them out at 7pm. From then on a few more cheeky gargles.

Boxing day out with the cuddlies for a few gargles before the big event at the SoL.

Trying to get the kids to sleep beyond 4am would help!

Me, the wife (no) and the 2 kids for Christmas Dinner, me mam and dad popping round with presents for the kids in the morning though.

Boxing day, my parents, our eldest, his other half (**** no) and the 2 grandkids round for ours for more presents, leisurely food and board games.

We were in the local earlier. Walked......mind you it was only about 100 yards. Back for an easy meal with me our lass and 16 year old daughter. Wife now asleep after guzzling too many glasses of Presecco

Tomorrow is just the 3 of us and we've gone all out for Christmas....we always do. However, our eldest daughter arrives up here on Friday, travelling from Colchester..... can't wait, as that's when our celebration's start

Was that you who walked up the street when we came out the house??? If it was you should have give me a shout, I would gladly shake your hand and dragged you back round the pub. (That’s where we were heading). It was pitch black and could only see three folk. If you ever see me outside, make sure you introduce yourself, would be good to have a bit craic.

We've already got the in-law stuff out of the way so we've got a clear few days of having to do little more than eat drink and spend time with our little girl and baby boy.

Our dog passed away around this time last year which took some getting over and we just picked up this little beaut two days ago, another staff this one's called Jessie.

Aye, it was me, Mrs Sombrero and my youngest daughter off for a few. The singer was canny in there tonight, good crowd in when we left. I nearly shouted over to see if it was you. I’m sure we’ll share a beer shortly

A few beers in the house today, last minute wrappings and then off to midnight mass with the mrs. Tomorrow over to guiseley for Xmas dinner with her sons family where presents will be dispatched. Off to Cardiff on Boxing Day to pick her daughter up who’s flying in from Munich then having new year in Haverfordwest. All the best everyone

It was my turn to have my boys this Xmas. First Xmas eve and Xmas day ive had with them since me and their mam broke up 2 years ago. Im feeling blessed tonight.

No children in my mix so lost interest in Xmas years ago . Can’t stand the palaver for myself and even seeing other people stressing over their overloaded Tesco trolleys and worrying over total expense , and moaning about the whole thing winds me up . So I’m typing this from Tenerife - first time I’ve gone away for Xmas and it’s brilliant to be out of it . But, I wish you all the best of times however you choose to do it .

We have had a shocking December. 3 I'll kids, some overlapping, and the Mrs, who has MS also picked up the virus and it's wiped her out. I've been a single dad and carer all month. Had to do a full day work up to 5 o clock and now I feel shocking. ****ing sods law. Hoping I feel better in a few hours for the kids and then eat and drink through it. Best wishes everyone.
