The game wasn’t t drawn as a result of Eze or BoS having a go. Indeed, we’d have lost without BoS’ impact.

Sadly, Wells is a shadow of what he was and is lacking confidence. He lost us the win, in my opinion.

I don't really think anyone can be blamed in particular. I just think that Warburton is not quite getting the best out of the team. We have a decent squad. They're all professionals who've played elsewhere. He should have them better drilled. That's all, in my opinion.

I don't think any player looks like they're not bothered.

Fair to say though that if Lumley had done the basics of his job as poorly as Wells did he’d be crucified.

Well I didn't describe an instance in any detail, but I will. Eze had the ball in a central position just outside the area, made himself a yard of space and had a shot on goal. If he scored, the game was over, but as it turned out it was a pony effort that rolled along the floor into the goalie's arms. If you're saying that in that instance he should have headed for the corner flag, that's your opinion - it's not a fact - and it's not an opinion I share.

Didn't say it was fact.

Yes, in the situation you describe it was fair enough to have a go.
He should have leathered it so that it at least flew over the bar.
I got the impression from others that he and BOS were further wide.

I'm not sure I agree with those saying that we would have won if we had been better with our 'game management' (i.e. time wasting). We would have won if Wells had taken the golden chance he was given in the first half and we would have won if Eze or BOS had finished any of the numerous opportunities that they made for themselves in the last 20 minutes. Our attacking play was exhilarating at times and I'd rather see us kill off a game by scoring a goal than by seeing out time at the corner flag.
Surely it's both. I agree that time wasting from early on - was it Preston who were doing so from 70 mins! - is not entertaining but with a matter of seconds to go, surely the corner flag is reasonable? Smart professionals use the full range of tools at their disposal according to circumstance.

'Smart professionals' also dive and feign injury. I don't want to see those things either.

The bar is set pretty low in Scotland though

Tell me about it, I've been up here 20 years and have seen plenty of football at all levels. The old firm have delusions of grandeur and get found out in CL qualification every season, whilst the rest are mediocre at best, including the sheepshaggers up where you are at the moment!

It's the 94th and final minute of the play off final and Rangers are 1-0 up.
Eze receives the ball just inside the opposition's half, beats a couple of players and is running towards the corner of the 18 yard box.
Does he:
A - Take a shot at goal?

B - Run with the ball towards the corner flag?

There is a difference. While in the corner, the opposition has the chance to regain possession. Not so with diving and feigned injuries.

A peripheral argument really as game should have been won at half time for other reasons already discussed.

Have a great Christmas and New Year.

He shoots for goal.

Alternatively, he checks back, causing a defender to lightly brush his thigh, and, screaming like a girl, throws himself to the ground to earn a free kick and a booking for the defender.

I think all of you have forgotten the fact that QPR are awful at holding the ball in the opposition corner. It gets pinched from us instantly every time.
