Match Preview;
After their run of five without a win, and four straight defeats before last Saturday's draw, I am glad we are welcoming Charlton on Saturday...not least of all as I'll be getting the Eurostar over for the match, which conveniently falls near Christmas. Their run has seen them fall to 17th in the table, 7 points behind us, but still 6 away from the drop zone. They have Bonne and Gallagher on 6 goals, and Leko and Taylor on 5 goals, and they have 28 goals in total this season, and have conceded 30. Given our defensive record, and ability to score a few, I am hoping for an entertaining, high scoring game on Saturday...at which home advantage will play it's part and we'll come out on top.

The great Simon Royce played for both.

The actually great Danny ****tu came from them but think that was when they were quite good and he never played for the first team.

I'm taking my 15-year-old nephew from Adelaide, Australia to this one. His last game was against Forest, last home game of the season ( 2017 ) when we won 2-0, ( The mighty Joel Lynch scored the winner) so hopefully brings us luck in this one. ( Not that I believe in any of that stuff. ) But we'll be taking the same route from my mum's to LR. He loves the Ranger's and wears their shirt whenever he can over there and follows our results and can't wait to visit the Kiyan Prince Stadium. He is also a fast bowling wizard and has been fast-tracked by the Australian Cricket Academy, and has opted to play for them if he progresses.

Nicky Johns (goalkeeper) played for both. My claim to fame (well in my head) was playing football against him and scoring two goals, one with left foot and one with right when I was a youngster.
