Still don't get why fans don't rate this more. Just because it's not popular in England doesn't mean it's not popular globally. It'll be huge for expanding our fanbase even further and worth a hell of a lot more money than the Caribou cup. Besides, it's a trophy United have won which we haven't and that's a record that needs fixing.
I think the club took the decision to put the cwc before the tincup for a few reasons.

Give the kids a chance
Global reach of playing and possibly being world champions + all the sponsers and **** that comes after.
The Nike deal
Also the tincup was worth something like a few hundred k, the minimum we get for going to thw cwc is 2m, winning is 5m but this is small change and probably the last reason on......... "the list" :bandit:

Finally
Where were you when I needed you lmao :)
Well up for this
Hope we don’t stuff it up :)

Elliott absence explained
Harvey Elliott has missed out on travelling to Qatar because of injury.

That makes sense.

Here’s Ian Doyle with the story...

We’re a global brand.

Caribo Cup is unknown outside of UK

Every other region in the world takes this seriously. Our brand equity alone will increase massively if we win this. Other UK fans will scoff at the cup....in every other region of the world, we would be world champs. 65 million people in UK versus 7.5 billion in the world.

Clearly we are going to lose tonight and our season will be over....

Anything less than a 7-1 win for us will be a disgrace:bandit:
