We should get ancelotti in, even if it’s just for 12-18months to steady the ship. We need a safe pair of hands at the moment and he fits the bill perfectly.

I would agree, he has PL experience (PL winning experience too), and has won trophies everywhere he has gone.
I would agree - although I would'nt include Arteta there. The biggest mistake we could make at the moment is to appoint somebody like Arteta, Vieira or Henry. Club legends but totally untested at the top level. We’d just be setting them up to fail.
The job at Arsenal at the moment requires a safe pair of hands, somebody who can organise these players into becoming solid as a unit, and somebody who has got a proven track record. Ancelotti would be a perfect short term replacement.
If in 12-18 months time when we’ve established some consistency, the club want to hand over the reins to a young manager, fine. But they need to establish the ground work first and that requires somebody with some experience.
As Piskie said, we are not in a position to go for a rookie.. We need someone like Klopp, who has the pedigree, stabilize the ship and move up.. We might have to be a bit more pragmatic and go back to basics all this Arsenal way, needs to stop.. at the moment we need to build from the back, which at the moment is utter shambles!
Tony Pulis? We've got a decent team, with a peppering of real talent. Like you say, we just need to learn to do the basic things right again. Once we've sured up the defence (and I include the whole team in that, defending from the front) then we can build on it and express ourselves with our flair players.
Tony Pulis?
It's a risky one for sure.Looking like it might be Arteta, seems to be a bit of a gamble to me. You lot happy with that?
Tottenham sack Pochettino and 24 hours later announce Mourinho.
Napoli sack Ancelotti and within 24 hours announced Gattuso.
Arsenal meanwhile still have no manager three weeks after sacking Emery.
We used to be known as the Club who 'did things properly' - now we are just a ****ing mess.
It's a risky one for sure.
On the plus side we will almost certainly be moving back to attacking posession based football under Arteta. Wether or not he is ready for a big job like Arsenal or not I dont know. Pep seems to rate him highly.
Photos of our management and lawyer leaving Arteta place at 120 am have emerged. So it seems we are going for inexperience!
What the **** are we ignoring Ancelotti for !
