Thinking of still getting a ticket for this one, but the train tickets are so expensive! how is everyone else getting up there?
I'm driving up. Never been before but the route doesn't look too bad...all motorways so should be ok.
I'm not much of a drinker to be honest. I usually have one or two in town as part of the match day ritual and that's about it. A bit boring I know, sorry.
Still tempted to go to this match but it'll be over 100 quid for me and gf,big outlay.Does anyone know if there are still coach places available? would drive up there but heard a horror story of a saints fans minibus getting broke into in a car park 5 minutes from the ground when we were last there and everything being stolen, this person recommended us not to drive up there.
Went to Burnley about 15 years ago to watch Lincoln play them. (same time as Lincoln came to the Dell in the C Cup) Good beer, good pies, good support. However parked car about 5 mins away from the ground. Came back to find a copper sat on the car. Some urchin (who they had caught in the act) had smashed the pasenger side window and hoiked the radio out. So watch where you park p.s. this was a boxing day match, was snowing up thar in the hills and the 3 hour drive back to Lincoln was freezing cold. Brrrrrrr
Hi guys im doing a luxury coach to burnley its £29.50 with a complimentary drink u can get on at hythe, totton, southampton, eastleigh parkway and winchester, this is cheaper than the travel club! If u want more details u can see my advert in the echo tonight or wed! Or u can go on ebay and type in southampton away travel. Or call me on 07801867365 for all saints away games. Nick
I don't think any Saints fans will be getting a warm welcome either after the last time we played them.
There aren't any spaces left on the coach but there is a waiting list which I've put my name on. They said they'll let everyone know by Wednesday if they're running another coach so perhaps it would be an idea to put your name down on that?
I went up to Leicester with you and it was a good trip. Coach was good and arrived in time to get a couple of pints at Leicester. I shall be coming to Burnley with you!
I booked my trains a little while ago and it wasn't too bad at all. Around £20 with a railcard. If you can just try and book early, a return to Coventry only cost me £7 although that is from London, but there are deals to be found if you book early enough!
I am a bit bored this evening so am listening to Burnley's League Cup match with MK Dons. They are really low on confidence at the moment, and the local commentators are more than a little worried about their chances against Saints on Saturday. I can see 3 points coming our way! COYR
Too good for the Dons though and the win will give them a little confidence. Gotta be careful as Rodriguez is a good player and Austin has enjoyed playing against us in the past. Don't get me wrong, I can still also see 3 points as long as we get our normal slick passing game going
I must admit that I posted that comment at half time when they were 1 down. Burnley improved 2nd half, especially after bringing on Austin and McCann.
