They're all the same, it was only about a week ago that Corbyn was waving around a wad of papers claiming they proved Boris was flogging the NHS to the Yanks, when in fact it said absolutely nothing of the sort.

Did you expect it to say:

WE ARE SECRETLY PRIVATISING THE NHS - DO NOT TELL ANYONE

The Conservatives were denying the any talks were even taking place until it was rumbled - I can prove this.

This is how trade talks begin, with these sort of meetings. Why did the Conservatives redact the document then, if it was all totally fine. Why deny that these talks were taking place?

They can’t actually do the deal yet, cos we’re still in the EU but when it happens, it will be bit by bit, service by service.

And they’ll deny doing it and some people will still believe them.

John Major had it nailed about these lot.

It isn't fully costed. No party in the world can tell you the cost of nationalising everything in 'the first 100 days' and claim to be able to do is an outright lie.

How would you describe the Conservative Manifesto, campaign and ad campaigns then?

In terms of lying? Worse than Labour, same or better? To keep it simple.

I've said, they all tell countless lies. I don't think saying "oh but my dishonest crew is slightly more honest than your dishonest crew" is a compelling argument to vote for them.

What does bother me is Amazon a) not paying enough tax and b) using child labour.

Good points. Labour have promised to tackle Amazon and the like.

You have to wonder why the Conservatives haven't sorted this.

It's different. It is not like for like - if it was, I would never support Labour.

The Labour Manifesto is not perfect. There are gaps in it and it is ambitious, possibly/probably too ambitious in places.

But by saying they're all the same totally CONDONES this fake news agenda which pervades our society. It holds no one to account.

Surely, no good for our democracy?

Labour will stop Amazon using child exploitation? I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that meeting with Corbyn and Jeff Bezos of whatever the ****'s called.

Obviously I was talking tax and working conditions in the UK. Tories have done knack all.

I don't believe we, the people, can hold any of them to account. They are a law unto themselves. They give themselves gold plated pensions and expenses and handouts and titles and exempt themselves from the law and then go on Question Time to get clapped by seals.

We can hold them to account and tomorrow is the best time to do it.

I do agree that our system has its flaws. But what else can we do but vote, fight and campaign?

I ****ing hate QT though - agreed.

In terms of nationalisation, can the government nationalise a company without its HQ in the UK? I thought EU laws protected against that or have I misread somewhere?

Would they not just move HQ to france say......specifically EDF as an example?

I genuinely think we've already lost the battle. We'll all end up like the mindless fat drones of people in WALL-E.

The other I can't get my head around is how me paying more tax because I earn more is "fair". Surely "fair" would be every individual paying the same percentage, no matter what income level they are? Also you don't need to be earning £80k to get an increase in tax, that is an absolute myth, anyone who takes dividends will see an increase in the tax they pay. Little Old John a one man Ltd company earning 20k could see his tax increase.

Could = will

I’ve already calculated that and at minimum I will see a loss of just under £1k per year (£986). More likely to be more. And even if all my earnings went through PAYE I’d still be on 20% rate.

Not just me, there are implications for self employed traders like plumbers etc.

Re: the costings, they are a bare faced lie. For example they have added 9% on to corporation tax and have costed their figures as though they will receive exactly 9% more tax receipt. Tax is complicated and I don’t really understand the cause and effect on investments, jobs, wages etc but I do know the cost is passed on to the workers and consumers and every single study you can find will actually show lower total receipts after a tax hike, rather than the massive increase they are telling everyone about.
