Can see that happening, think he'll see some gametime here this month with all the fixtures, but come January would want him playing regularly, recall clause though please
You cant recall players outside of transfer windows That rumour is a non starter unless we sign a right back which is unlikely
I think only players who might move on in Jan are Mendy, Amartey, Benkovic (loan), Kapustka and Jakupovic,
We are being linked with a couple of strikers Vedat Muriqi - a 25yo Kosovan striker from Fenabache and Macauley Bonne - a 24yo Zimbabwean striker from Charlton. We are also linked with Chris Smalling again who apparently is really impressing at Roma.
Wanted Smalling in the summer, but with the form Evans is in, i don't see him starting at the minute and doubtful hes going to come here to be a squad player, though we do need to add more with Wes in his twilight years. Chelsea or Arsenal are surely going to have him pretty high on their list if hes surplus in Manchester.
With Iheanacho’s recent turn in performances allowing us to play 2 strikers with Perez backing up I dont think we need to sign anyone in Jan other then a CB. Brendan has alot of flexibility with formations now Just shows how good a manager Brendan is. We all said its make or break season for Iheanacho and Gray. Gray got completely dropped and told straight he isnt playing nowhere near good enough to get in the matchday squad never mind the team. Gray responded and has become a important part of the team again albeit off the bench And Iheanacho has been superb whenever he has got on the pitch this season. 4 games 4 goals and 2 assists Sunday he looked every bit of the player who know he can be
Issue is if one of them gets injured, is anyone from our reserves good enough to get called up? Maybe Gray as a striker again?
Always scope for adding quality ... if I was Brenda I'd explore Alfredo Morelos from Rangers and Jared Bowen from Hull City ... we could then have a real go at both cups and would be well set for a European campaign next season ... I hope!!!
Gray has been used a 2nd striker a few times this season when he has come on as a sub. But now Iheanacho is looking the business I dont think Gray will be used like that as much. I think we have enough depth with Vardy, Iheanacho and Perez But in the development squad George Hirst has been doing well and is highly rated
Brendan has ruled out signing Morelos before saying someone is on the wind up when we was linked. He is too much of a loose cannon Bowen I like the look of but cant see us trying to sign a winger until the end of the season when I suspect we may try and move Albrighton on
Glad to see you are on the Bowen bandwagon. We have had previous success shopping in the Championship and I think he could be terriffic.
Not on or not on his bandwagon He has impressed at Hull for a few years. He could well step up like Maddison did or like Che Adams has Its a gamble sometimes you have to take and until they play in the premier league you never know what you really are going to get
The comparisons I’ve seen made for Bowen is Knockaert due to lack of pace. Admittedly I haven’t seen much of Bowen but it’s whether if that’s the case, he could over come that. He certainly knows where the net is, a week doesn’t go by when he hasn’t carried Hull
I think the issue with signings him now would be if he needed time to find his feet which would be understandable. That would leave us with Barnes, Bowen and Gray still trying to find consistency to their talent. We need someone who we can rely on most weeks I really cant see us signing a winger until the summer and as I said I think if Gray falls back to his old way he will be out the door. And if he doesnt I think it will be the end of the road for Albrighton Still need to try and sell Ghezzal
Rumours about Bowen are growing. Talk the fee will need to be around £25M-£30M Very steep but the going rate nowadays
Its always going to be hard to find players in January especially from this country If Brendan wants Bowen we might just have to pay the price within reason
