Better luck next time getting the thread closed down, though; unless the polls are very, very wrong, I can't see it being closed down after the election now anyway. Even handed moderation, you say, towards the Flying Monkeys, ok let's look at this current situation;
DMD Banned from Prem Board
Duncs was banned from Prem Board but so he could go on his club board, eventually changed to perm thread ban.
Saffy Thread banned
Tel thread banned
and the only other one thread banned is Aberdude.
That looks uneven to me, but hey it's ok the remaining flying monkey Pete is sure to get loads of dog abuse.

I don't really appreciate the effort I try and put in to keep an even balance, being criticised. Every character on here, reacts in different ways, and whether people like it or not, I have to guage that and take actions when appropriate and that will not inflame a situation further. I really don't enjoy it when the site gets plastered with porn or sock accounts as a reaction to a situation, so I have to attempt to ensure my actions are clear to the individual(s), hence sometimes this may include subtle warnings, that could be construde as siding with the person. It's never easy getting that balance, but as Donga seems to want to persist without giving any consideration to my point of view. I'll ban him from the politics thread to avoid him any further offence from members. At least this will give him genuine cause to bitch further. I don't know when the ban will be lifted, probably when i fooking feel like it.
My last comment because it's been dragged out a bit now, granted.

At that point I ****ed off from the thread and spent the day on my own teams board. I then went back to the politics thread on the night where the bitching continued until the morning and by that time brb had lost his blob with me a bit and banned me. The fact that still isn't enough for certain posters isn't my problem.
You guys should maybe have a look at some of the degrading personal abusive comments that Peter Saxton receives on a pretty much daily basis.
You don't want a level playing field at all. You want free reign to say what the **** you want but expect the 'flying monkeys' to be shredded as soon as they step out of line.

I don't often agree with you Saf, and you know that. On that day I politely asked you to stop, i see how that can be construed as being 'on your side' - but only you know and i know it was far from it. For clarity (not that it's required) I hasten to add, I had no PM cmmunication with you regarding this at any time during that day, as you would be able to confirm
What really pisses me is when I'm accused in so many words of taking sides. Who was banned prior to what happened, DMD and Duncs! Yeah Aberdude was the first to be taken out that day, which prompted Donga to kick-off behind reports. Let me add, he was colateral damage to take the heat out of the situation. But Donga don't want to look at my side of things, he just wants to spout off.

Not sure what's happened over the weekend but this is spot on imo and I've made the same point early in the thread.
I was going to save the surprise of the Xmas whip round until the day.
