Always makes me laugh this racial stuff.

Lets abuse some players from another team, cos all our team and fans are white Englishmen.

What amazes me is these individuals, pay all this money to go to a game, just to racially abuse players, they must have a screw loose. Seriously i support a shhite team, but I've never felt the need to abuse a player, let alone racially abuse.

If they supported a club named BNP United, and all their players and fans were white Englishmen.

Personally I don't think it's getting worse, I think it means we are actually taking it seriously now and dealing with every incident.

It's not getting worse mate. It's so far and between these days that it makes news.

I don't know how it works at City, but at our place, a lot of fans such as me are on a data base and allocated seat numbers, so you ain't difficult to identify within a block.

Former Aston Villa manager Ron Saunders has died at the age of 87, the club have announced.

Saunders is regarded as one of its best managers after he steered the club to the old Division One title in the 1980-81 season.

Yeah I do remember him, oddly, what I didn't realise, he was an ex Gills player, before my time though.

Or throw lighters (multiple) at them either I'd suppose.

That was just because they were opposing players who happened to be helping giving the home team a shoeing. Then you add the monkey gestures because they happen to be black.

That is just a clueless solution
For a start it will actually encourage the racist abuse and the stupid thing is it won’t be because they are racists

Too many sherbets before the game is often a factor ... not an excuse... just brings out what is below the surface in some ... ignorance is the real problem

I've had plenty to drink on many a game, it's never made me feel the need to be racist....I might want a piss but that would be about it <laugh>

What was already going to be a tough game for us tomorrow at Villa due to the local nature will be exacerbated by the death of a man that was a club legend for them ... given results today a victory would be excellent for us in our quest for top 4 ... but if we lose they may as well hand over the Premier League trophy to Pool at their next game ... not that they won't win it in the end anyway <cheers>
