Need to save something for next season's [HASHTAG]#progress[/HASHTAG] graph. We already need to win at least the first 14 games or [HASHTAG]#kloppout[/HASHTAG]
This is the problem. Unless you improve on the previous season it's hard to shake the feeling that decline has set in.
City:
17/18 - 100pts
18/19 - 98pts
19/20 - ?
The maximum they can achieve now is 101, so it's a fairly safe bet that they won't equal last year. Slippery slope. :)

Well, we'll see.
If he doesn't win the PL or the CL this time I imagine he'll be off.
do you think ?
Would that not look like he is running away ?
If he doesn’t win this season I can see him having to stay
Whereas if we have continuing injury problems and the CWC takes its toll and they overhaul us and win CL I think he might go then :)

Obviously I'm speculating - but I do wonder.
Clearly he wants to win, and if he's not head and shoulders above the opposition then the likelihood diminishes. We'll see what he's made of if he ends the season empty-handed.
As for being seen to be running away, he can easily convince himself otherwise: "Taken them as far as I can... new challenge.....Manchester's a dump :bandit:......blah,blah."

I’m with you saint. I think pep walks this season regardless of whether they win or not.

he’s a short term manager. I reckon he goes to Juve next year because Sarri is struggling, before ending up at PSG

Depends.

If they don't win the CL his time at Citeh will be seen as a failure, as it was what he was specifically brought in for. If he walks away that is, so he could stay until they do win.
Or of course he could walk away believing that winning the CL with Citeh is beyond him.

Tell you what
That has not pushed me into happiness overdrive but the thing that jumps out at me there is the game extra in the league that city and Leicester play is against each other so one or both will drop points while we are away :)I might start to believe...

I'd have him in the squad, but he may stagnate if he's on the bench. I think the experience is doing him good, he's always had a terrific shot on him and his all-round game seems to be improving - though I've only seen a handful of matches he's been in.
Tbh I haven't seen him play much but his name keeps coming up as goalscorer. His free kick goal at the weekend was superb.

He seems a quiet lad which sort of fits with Klopp but maybe too quiet to break through in our team atm.
i'd have kept him in the squad this season as he is a goal threat .However the fact he was loaned out again suggests probably not .
I wouldn't be put off by him being loaned out a couple of times especially as it's working in his case as he's clearly developing and benefitting from the playing time.
