There was a time when Murray did well by us I think, and honestly wanted to.

That cannot be said for Duchatelet or any of his weird cohorts.
None of them gave a toss about CAFC. Good riddance to the lot of them.

Now we are on the threshold of a new era of hope, I think we can afford to remember RM for the good he did, before he lost the plot and became severely misguided.

Fans opinions on Murray are not divided. If you took hospitality off him like Reams & the ITTV crew did, you defend him. 85% of real Charlton fans today want him out.

I was never part of any ITTV meetings with members of the Duchatelet regime.
And I'm not trying to defend RM for what has happened since 2006.

I just don't want to vilify him as much as Roland and his detestable cronies who appeared on the scene since 2014.

Time to look ahead now! The future is :emoticon-0157-sun:

Apologies for my earlier (now deleted) post, it was a misunderstanding.
Richard Murray is apparently staying on at CAFC in some capacity accrording to Reams, but not on the board.

Some sort of Ambassador perhaps?

As I posted earlier, I think it would be a good idea for Richard Murray to bow out now, retire quietly and enjoy some pressure-free time.

I would vote 'no' in the above poll, primarily for that reason,
For the sake of the remains of Murray's reputation, and his health, I believe he should call it a day at CAFC.

If he wants to continue to come to matches, I wouldn't see the harm in the new owners granting him the courtesy of a seat in the directors' enclosure. Surely that would not upset any but the harshest of his critics.

Let's begin healing old wounds and moving on together to a better future <peacedove>

Yes, apparantly Richard rung Ivor to tell him this.

Still no words from Murray, a shame he did not shut his trap when the squirrel and Uncle were running/destroying the gaff.

Murray has gone to ground totally.

Stories saying that he had a strong say in the sale, this may well be wrong.

What do you have to say for yourself Judas?

He is self-isolating.

Elfs, have you gone stir-crazy?
You've bumped about 12 dusty old threads this morning. And not really with any ground-breaking new revelations, if you don't mind me saying :emoticon-0177-toivo

Hi chaps

I searched back through the forum history and found no fewer than 17 threads all on the subject of Richard Murray.
Nothing wrong with that of course, but I thought it would be interesting to merge them together, in order to make it much easier to view past messages regarding our ex-Chairman, and give an insight into our thoughts on RM down the years since 2012.

All messages are shown in the date & time order that they were first posted.
I hope nobody minds that I've done this.

Regards,
Lardy

At tonight's CAST AGM, Lauren Kreamer said that she understands Murray has no role in CAFC.
Good, he can **** off back to supporting Wolves.

It was my understanding that Richard Murray no longer had any real role at CAFC.
Wasn't sure if he might have an honourary title of some kind (but without any duties or wages).

Do we know why RM came up as a subject at the AGM? Presumably a question was asked about him...

Looking back to the start of this thread, we had ten members back in 2014.

It’s good to see that we have grown so much in the last six years, and are now up to 14.
