I was joking. She might have been 15 years 363 days old. It’s just a number. Some 15 year olds are still kids, some are old beyond there years. In the eyes of the law 15 is a child. 16 is old enough to leave home, work, reproduce etc.
The labour pitch for 16 year olds to get the vote was a political stunt because labour does better with younger voters... its 18 in almost every other western democracy, though there is an argument that if you’re paying taxes etc at 16 you should have a say in who you pay them to. Don’t have a strong opinion on it personally.
