After the way he acts towards us in his new pundit career he is far from Jesus right now.

He will always be the man. But, recently, he hasn't exactly been fantastic towards us. Whether that's just cos of Ashley, or his own personal feelings.

Tash, didn't you only get into football when we were in the championship?

This but I wish he would give us some credit when we play well instead of trying to keep other fans happy.

Lawro and Hansen show their love for Liverpool.

talking of pundits, i was impressed with G neville the other, night, twice as good as andy gay, thought he would be a bias asshole but he was very fair and even doubted man u's title chances vs Man City

  9. No, i bought my first season ticket when we were in the CC, i've supported Newcastle since i was a nipper, but I started taking it a lot more seriously, unfortunately, around the season we went down.

Before then i still supported them, but not as passionately until around the 08/09 season.

  11. My earliest memory of Newcastle was me in bed and my dad reacting to a goal scored and him shouting "****in get in!!! TOP OF THE LEAAAAGGGUUUUUUEEEE"""

And my mam saying "for ****s sake shut up you'll wake the kids".

He's the man, a true Geordie legend, a symbol of what the number 9 is all zbout. I just look past MOTD and remember the glory days!

I still miss Shearer, but I don't think he's that good on MOTD, he's becoming as dull and lacklustre as the others. Agree with Emre Charles, Gary Neville seems to be doing a good job for Sky.

  14. I personally prefer someone like Joey Barton personality wise, rather than Shearer. I'd rather someone had a big mouth, than someone that's too afraid to ruin his reputation and stay quiet and boring. -.-

Footballers shouldn't have to act a certain way because people think they should be "role models". I'd rather have good ****ing footballers, even if they're dirty twats, rather than saints who are ****.

I do not really care what Alan Shearer is like as a pundit, all that matter is that he was an absolute legend for us as a player.

I'd barely be that arsed if Shearer outright insulted the team. His opinions and TV presenting attempts are not what I give a toss about, it's his dedication to the cause, footballing professionalism and ridiculous amount of skill provided for a decade with us that matters to me. Similarly I still think Keegan is a massive legend even though many of the younger people here, who don't remember how inspiringly exciting he was, don't like him because of recent events.
