For every Maddison, you get a Che Adams, unless your willing to take a punt that they can make the step up, your never going to find out. Definitely should be looking at him when hes unlikely to cost more than around £5-10m.
I know but thats the point im making You cant say Bowen is better then Perez as you never know until he makes the step up Perez is a massive improvement on Shinji Okazaki
Love the lad - was never a natural goalscorer but gave 100% in every match. If he was brought in as an attacking midfielder rather then as a striker, he would be considered a legend here.
Shinji never scored nowhere near enough goals. Neither as a striker or attacking midfielder Perez will get double figures every season Shinji in his final 18 months didnt offer us anything on the pitch other then effort. Perez has good work rate and very good technical ability and I think he will come good for us
Perez only got double figures once for Newcastle and that was when he was playing the way Mahrez was for us - all attack with no defensive responsibilities. Is being played as a proper RW which he himself admits he is still adjusting to https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/...s/leicester-city-ayoze-perez-position-3476009 Not saying he isn't playing well but a proper RW would do us a whole lot better.
I agree we should have brought a proper out and out winger but thats not Perez’s fault Last season he played off Rondon. I think he will be a good player for us. I dont get why people are trying to find problems in players when we are 2nd and flying Some people was happier last year under Puel it seems
If Perez isn't playing on the right, hes not playing at all, and would be used as a sub that can cover various positions. We need to keep the competition fresh. Gray is performing better off the bench, but would still not trust him to be consistent over the whole 90 minutes. Going into the season the standout area that needed addressing was the wide players. They are contributing creatively, but maybe need to start getting in better scoring positions. Lets not focus too much on Perez and ignore Barnes though. Also, Okazaki is the best defensive striker in the world
Barnes just needs to sort his end product out. I would leave Gray as the super sub for now. He has never performed as a starter and atm its not broke so dont fix it Let him keep doing what he is doing and the starts will come eventually and he has to kick on again when he does get that chance
Neither @leicester_ed or myself mentioned Puel or said anything negative but all of a sudden we are trying to find problems because we rate Okazaki higher then you do? Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean that you automatically need be on the offensive mate - we are all Leicester fans here, chill out.
Soyuncu's agent has dismissed him moving anywhere this season - has 4 years left on his contract and bet that we will want to open talks about extending it further. We are being linked with Kris Ajer from Celtic again - apparently we can get the 20yo CB for less then £20m. Not sure about this as Benkovic kept him out the the Celtic side under Rodgers.
Didnt name any names Just were flying and this place is a ghost town. When Coco the clown was in the charge last season and we was under performing and under achieving every week it was always busy on here We have a settled team atm and on a run including beating someone 9-0. Arsenal coming to our place and parking the bus and still getting beat. Last year was a time to moan. This year just enjoy the ride
Coco the clown? Just because we are second doesn't mean we all sit back and wax lyrical about how wonderful things are, what a boring forum that would be. What happened to continuous improvement? I have no concerns for Barnes as he is performing and his shot conversion rate will soon improve.Currently Perez is doing Ok while finding his feet in a somewhat new role for a new club. However Albrighton is nearing the end and Gray hasn't really delivered in 4/5 seasons. Kaputska doesn't seem the answer so get Jared Bowen in. Should Vardy be injured we are relying on Iheanacho to step up or Perez to go back in the middle. This is why we need Bowen.
Robbie Savage has suggested that Arsenal should go for Rodgers as their next manager - I think Lineker has the perfect response.
Unfortunately only rumours around Bowen is linking him with Newcastle. Benkovic was supposed to go to Stoke on loan but Maguire leaving meant that he stayed - rumour has it that he will be going there in Jan as we are close to bringing in Ajer. Is interesting that while he was at Celtic, Rodgers preferred Benkovic over Ajer but seems the opposite now. Ghezzal wants to stay at Floentina - has only one start and barely any minutes played so not looking likely atm.
