Bumped into some old faces at the weekend, got to talking about about brexit and the election. All the people there would be traditional or potential labour voters. An nhs worker, a council care manager, an ex teacher, an engineer. Four out of the five of us said we couldn’t vote for corbyn. Only the retired schoolteacher was sure he was going to. Five out of the five us hated Johnson. labour have no chance because they need voters like this, there’s enough of a core tory vote who don’t care who the leader is. whilst it’s hardly a statistically valid sample, it sums up the mood of people I speak to. Seriously, I’ve never known an environment like it. Everybody feels stuck between a rock and a hard place. It’s going to be who you hate least. Tony Blair made a similar point today. Not Mr popular but a guy who knew how to win an election.

It's not just about the leaders though is it. As if Commie Corbyn wasn't bad enough the Shadow Cabinet are either Marxists or thick as ****, or in most cases both. Their policies are undeliverable and their MP's unelectable. Even long term Labour voters can see it.
