You really want to watch that Oslo! apart from first 20mins
Yepp. I haven't seen a thing mate, not even the goals, the Championship isn't shown where I am now in Thailand I don't think, and couldn't be bothered to find a stream at 2.45 at night... But from the match thread, reports etc we played well for at least 20 minutes, MW reckons the whole game except for 10 minutes!

Emotional my response is that it must be so but then we'd be nearer the bottom if they were the absolute worst? I suppose they are saved by the strikers.
I think we're basically a really strange team. We are where we are because there is some quality. But we're held back by a goalkeeper crisis, and defender near-crisis and a few injuries here and there.

Basically, we do not have enough depth in the squad.

We have a defence that is trying to play out from the back but the personnel just isn't of a quality to make that tactic work, every game there's a cock-up or two from the keeper or defenders that cost us and undoes the good work often done elsewhere on the pitch. It won't correct itself until we have players comfortable on the ball where it matters. The danger is we drift towards the bottom six and have a repeat of last season's nervy finish...

The annoying thing is, we know they can do better. There were a number of games earlier this season where they passed out from the back like Barcelona. But I think there have been injuries or players dropping in form. And lack of depth. So we just need some players who can do it.

The thing with this squad is that they do bizarre things.... there have been a couple of games where they have passed the ball around at a standard which is non-league team, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that.

Think I said before but we miss Barbet. He can play it out from the back

I agree...and the fact that the back 3/4/5 do not get to play together on any regular basis...Hall was out at the start, BFG was not favoured...we get Hall back and Barbet gets injured...Cameron and Wallace have played there too

I think Warburton would like to play Barbet, Hall and Wallace...he has no chance yet to do it.

On the goalie front:-Dieng is only loaned out until January ( he was brilliant at Dundee, no idea how he is doing at Doncaster). He could be an answer, especially if Kelly is injured/injury prone

The sad thing is: if we got a new keeper in Jan, he'd take a while to get up to speed with our weird style of play. And if it goes wrong straight away, he may lose confidence.

Come Jan transfer window, it will interesting to see where MW strengthens. He was after a centre back, (someone from Aberdeen but cannot remember his name),
maybe a midfield enforcer that will protect Eze wouldn't go amiss.
I also wonder whether the players we have on loan had an expected number of games they must play inserted into the contracts.
Anyway, we got what we wanted - a major over hall of the playing squad so we just need to give them support.

Scot McKenna
I seem to recall half the Championship, the richer half, plus others were rumoured to be after him... He'll probably be too expensive. But having watched the highlights which showed Fulham strolling through our defense for not just 2 goals but 2 others that rattled the posts and 1 well saved by Lumley, they certainly confirm we need to strengthen at Keeper, CB and defensive midfield.
