I think we will a avoid the bottom 3 whoever is in charge.
We will outbattle and grind out enough points.
We could go down but i doubt it.
I tend to agree about there being enough in this squad to battle it out, but is that all we've got to look forward to this season?
Mind you, whilst we're 6 points off the top 6, we're only 6 points above the bottom 3 - we could move in either direction.
Good shout although hope they would give him more scope than they did when he played for us.
Isn't it strange how the start of the season optimism so easily shifts to concerns about staying off the trap door.
I don’t remember much enthusiasm; most of us were concerned at (1) the central midfield being slow and uncreative (2) Morrison and Flint being exposed (3) no wing backs or cover at full back and (4) the lack of goals from our forwards.
Pretty much what’s happened don’t you think?
Personally I think we'll see the season out with Warnock and finish anywhere between 5th and 12th.
Ainsworth is a good shout.
Still think Flynn would be worth considering (Mike not Brian!).
Houghton is an obvious one but as has been said before, money may be an issue.

The concern in the summer about our lack of creativity in midfield in particular was pretty universal on here. Don't know if the story about Tomlin turning over a new leaf and coming good influenced the club's thinking, but we're paying the price now.
Nonetheless, there's always a degree of optimism going into any new season, but the way it's gone so far has blown that away. We've been left behind in footballing terms to the extent that many now expect mid table as the best we'll achieve unless there's a change in management/tactics.
With Warnock going at the end of the season anyway, do we wait until then or start the process early ready for a crack at it next season. The emphasis now seems to have shifted from a top 6 spot and onto safety rather than pushing on.
Looks like this season and the £40M parachute windfall that came with it has been wasted unless someone grasps the nettle.
The Championship is so close this season as nobody is going on a decent run of wins and we are where we are because of other teams. Apart from a few teams at the bottom who have had wins over us then i think the Championship is wide open myself. We were joint top with Leeds until PNE won and there is no way that the Swans are the 3rd best team in any shape or form but like i said other unexpected results have put us there.....It will take a brave person to say who will be champions as it is so close and most teams could win it even Cardiff....
.......and please take Blackwell and Jepson with you. Give them a tractor each because they ain't driving anything forward here.
I didn't notice much of them down in front of me yesterday, but I recorded the game and since watched it back. The cameras panned on them a few times - what an unbelievable trio of stale clueless old farts they looked in this modern game.
I'm not being ageist - I'm up there with them - but footbal itself has changed. The days of Allardyce, Moyes and Pulis of this world have passed. There needs to be a shift in approach in coaching and methods at the club to keep up, and that probably applies at boardroom level as well.
Sadly I have to agree its time for Neil to put his slippers on and enjoy his family life.
No enthusiasm on the pitch no enthusiasm in the stands which makes it time for a change and a new positive energy full of youthful hungry players wanting to get a chance at earning bucks and try to make a name for themselves.
We got the fans for an enthusiastic team...... Probably call me bias but probably the best fans in the land who deserve so much more than what is currently being dished up......so come on Neil its time to fk off

Hi guys, I hope you don’t mind me joining in - I’m not here to gloat.
I’ll start by admitting that, as I support another team I obviously don’t have the background knowledge of how you’ve been playing in past games - I base this opinion on yesterday’s performance only.
You played some really good football at times - I didn’t see the typical Warnock ‘hoofball’ at all from you guys - neat little triangles and some good passing - I was surprised and impressed. Your finishing let you down, but the rest of your play was fine - and I was also impressed with how you never gave up - I was biting my nails in the last 10 mins.
The thing is, with yesterday’s game, you had 3 major players on the pitch who LJ and some of our team know very well. They have trained with them and know their strengths and their weaknesses.
I’m in the minority amongst my peers over the bridge, but I like and respect Warnock and I can see beyond the panto villain antics. He’s done well for you and was unlucky yesterday. He’s an expert at this level.
I guess what I’m saying is that you could do a lot worse than sticking with him and could find yourself jumping from the frying pan into the fire - like we did when we hounded Gary Johnson out all those years ago.
Of course, you guys know your own team better than me - just my opinion based on yesterday’s game.

aber - following the debacle against the Jacks, I wasn't ging to go to the Brum game but as usual relented and took up my seat. After the first 25 minutes I wished I hadn't bothered - we should have been at least 3-0 down. Then we got a break with a very dubious penalty award and it all seemed to go our way from then on.
Right I thought, that's it, we're on our way again - then Sunday happened. On the surface a better performance overall, but really not a clue how to manage a game from the touchline - take a look at Brendan Rodgers at Leicester to see what I mean.
With the international break and then Charlton away, I've got nearly 3 weeks to decide whether to go to the Stoke game. I bet I will, but in all honestly, I'd be looking forward to it a lot more if Neil called it quits before then.

Yes we did - but we have been ‘winging it’ really since Afobe was injured, but Luton game aside we are still picking up points.
I’m not trying to be sarcastic - if you read our forums you will see our fans moaning about the performances and that we aren’t good enough etc etc - but we somehow still scrape through.
Maybe it’s our year(?)
