My team Darlington returned to the FA Cup from the relative obscurity of the lower leagues. Forced a draw away at Walsall with a 97th minute equaliser.

The last time I went to a Darlington FA Cup match was back in 1960 at a replay in Darlington against Hull City and again it was drawn. It took a further 3 games before Hull City won the tie. Think the first 4 games produced 1-1 results. My current husband was at the first match in Hull and in Darlington I was with my first husband and his dad who was a lifelong Darlington fan.

Darlington had the audacity to spoil City's farewell party at B.P. in the last match there.
Boo.

City res v Barnsley res was THE last ever game at Boothferry Park...typically we lost that game as well.

I remember I was at all the home games in that tie which seemed to go on forever.
