What do you read into this? Does it strengthen the idea that the money will be converted into preference shares?

Agree re further involvement. Pretty bad that we can't afford maintenance of the stuff mentioned.

Thinking about it, Sunderland would never have to pay it back anyway because it would be Madrox that pays it back, but it suggests that they haven't even issued preference shares. So I still think it's a loan convertible to normal shares.

Utterly irrelevant and pointless comment re players and the lift. You don't think that it it is likely to be used by a broad spectrum of people including those that are less able?

It's well known that abramovic has had chelsea on the market a good while but by all accounts he wants over 1b for it. I think it includes a swanky hotel. Probably the numbers dont add up.
Watford and NUFC...Both would require massive investment on and off the pitch.
Both of them look very iffy this season. I doubt the numbers add up.

    Sarcasm is wasted on some.
Maybe I should have used inverted commas to avert your righteous indignation

One of the things I posted, at the start of this, was that there would be a massive kick in the teeth for the Mags.

I was told it would be revealed 'in due course' so didn't disclose it ...

... to be fair lots guessed it in any case.

I was told NUFC would cost a new buyer £500 million with the payment to Ashley, the repairs to SJP, new training facilities, etc.

There's also the HMRC hanging over the club and the fact that the club don't own SJP.

The lad who told me all this basically said they're stuck with Ashley unless his circumstances change drastically.

What an utter load of bollocks, your statement that at the top of every charity is a very rich person.
I know for certain that is NOT true.

If you go to Cancer Research UK - Annual Report and Accounts 2018/19, page 62 & 63, you'll see the costs of employees and CEO/CFO salaries. The British Heart Foundation, though not as costly, still spend huge sums on salaries.

It tells me Charlie's gob works a lot faster than his brain.

On first reading he seems to contradict himself but there's a strong hint at something that hasn't been mentioned up to now, ie they're getting shares in return.
