I’ve even sat in the Jimmy seed when Powell was at Huddersfield. I think there were other Charlton fans in there as one of the stewards alluded to the fact.
I thought you said you had sat on Jimmy Seed for a minute Then I remembered that only happens on the Charlton Life takeover thread.
The club has outflanked fans who decided they would only go to away games in order to avoid paying Douchatelet a penny more. Now they are raking it in via Valley Gold for away games. Crafty or what.
Just like Duchatelet to turn Valley Gold into and instrument of blackmail. Reminds me of Meire using children as human shields against protesters. CAFC is infected with pond life that'll sink to any depth.
FHB will put me neck on the line and say i think thats b@llocks. There was talk of quite a few doing aways but not homes a couple of seasons ago and i know a couple of fans who do this. But our away attendances really remained the same
I’m with you on this, our support took a noticeable turn just before Robinson left, our away attendances picked up and became more vociferous. Once bowyer was in we’ve had our best away support in my lifetime. The club are managing demand in a poor way but I think it’s simply that, not an evil scheme from Duchatelet. Doesn’t the money from Valley Gold sit outside of the club?
Unfortunately seriouslyridiculous has been shown to be right in fans returning on success. He's still a knob.
Our away attendances have greatly increased. Over 1,000 at Blackburn & even a decent turn out at Barnsley. Over 1,000 at Wigan, and sold out at Reading, Fulham & Bristol City & West Brom. And who ever thought we would take 3,800 to Doncaster, like we did at the end of last season. I can seriously remember back in the 80s being one of FOUR Charlton fans on the train to Lincoln City.
Don't be too hard on him …. Royston was one of four Charlton fans on the train to Lincoln City while the team were actually playing Leicester City with eight hundred Charlton fans supporting them
