Think Oxlade Chamberlain has come back from that bad injury really well

Yes he has mate. Worked really hard, both to get back to fitness and on the pitch.

No real surprises really. Keane is never and England International, so pleased he's dropped.

Delle Alli is a real talent, but over the last 12 months, I think he's believed his own press too much, and complacency has set in. Leaving him out again might just give him the kick up the arse he needs.

Other than Delph (I have no idea why he keeps getting called up), that is arguably our best squad we could have possibly chosen, and probably the strongest weve had in years.

I never knew that Maddison had been warned for going to a casino when pulling out from the last squad injured.

lucky lad to still be called up as there are umpteen possibles for a midfield spot

I thought grealish would’ve been called up, think Southgate watched him last two games but he mustn’t have passed mustard.

Don’t think he pulled out it was the England medical team withdrew him and I thought the warning was a bit much as he wasn’t acting the tit at the casino he was watching the match. Would’ve been different if he had himself pulled out the squad.

As you said above grealish would appear to be next man up but Maddison has a bit to prove now

Id like to see Maddison get his first cap as I think he’s a real talent, can beat a man, an eye for a pass and can score goals. He’s having a great season

There's no doubt about it, our midfield options at the moment are full to overflowing. Its the centre of the defence that worries me.

Maguire has established himself as first choice, but who plays alongside him is anyones guess. Stones imo is overrated, and always liable to drop a bollock. Keane and Tarkowski don't look the part, and I haven't seen enough of Gomez (seems injury prone) and Tomori, to make a decision on them, one way or the other. Any others coming through?

Stones needs to up his level as well. The lad is a great talent but imo lacks a bit of concentration.

Spot on. He just seems to switch off at times. A little too complacent at times too.

I read that he'd said he was too ill and that's why he pulled out hence the surprise at popping out to the casino later that day. The equivalent of phoning in sick to work and your boss seeing you on tv jumping up and down at the match.

Gomez isnt injury prone, its just unfortunate for him the form of Matip this season has seen him drop to the bench. He played most games for Liverpool last season.

Id like to see Chillwell play infront of Rose. We have talented kids coming through all over the park at the moment especially at fullback. Wan-Bissaka will eventually compete with Alexander Arnold along with Maitland Niles and the younger Sessegnon (Fulham), brother for the right back berth.
Chillwell looks like our future first choice Left back, with Reece James and the other Sessegnon (Spurs), as competition.
Foden will hopefully soon make his mark in central midfield aswell once he starts featuring more for City.

    The future looks bright.

Glad to see Stones back in the squad, he's out most talented centre back by a long way in my opinion. Gomez probably shouldn't be there but there aren't many options at the moment.

Hudson-Odoi is a cracking young talent and I'd love to see him get some minutes.

Grealish is perhaps a little unlucky to miss out but it's not controversial.

I'd like to see Alexander-Arnold, Maddison and Abraham all getting starts in one of these matches.

Agree about the central defence, nowhere near good enough to win a tournament. Maybe I'm looking back to the fairly recent past with rose tinted glasses but I think any of the following would be our best centre back at present: Campbell, Ferdinand, King (when fit), Carragher, Terry. We badly need a really imposing, commanding centre back. Other than that, and probably lacking a centre forward to really challenge Kane (Abraham has done canny this season like) we're in a great place, and in Sterling we have someone who, imo, is genuinely up there with Messi and Ronaldo at the present time
