From what I read from a retired fireman (I think) in a newspaper interview, he wrote a fantastic article to say that the advice given to residents WAS the correct thing to do, for reasons such as not blocking stairwells etc. Can’t remember what paper it was in but I couldn’t fault it in anyway.
