Son booked for fouling Gomes. Looks like a really bad injury, judging by everyone's reactions.

I stepped out the room. Came back and son’s crying.
What happened?

Right. Looks like we'll need to hold on for at least 20 mins given all the stoppages.

Defensive substitutions, or shall we rely on Eriksen to put in the shift?

Son's yellow switched to a red. Huh?

It's the same as VAR. Decisions are made based on how graphic the outcome is, nothing to do with the actual input.

Gomes broke his leg because he broke his leg. He was thrown off balance because of Son. Other players with stronger bodies would not have suffered a break. But because the outcome was R-rated horror, the ref has to dance to the tune and show a red.

Was it Aurier or Son who ****ed Gomes there? Not showing the replays here. It looked savage

Way I see it, Son’s challenge makes Gomes go into Aurier whose leg then breaks.

It’s Son’s fault in my opinion. Obviously unintentional and you could tell by Son’s reaction but his leg likely doesn’t get snapped if Son doesn’t make that silly challenge.

And the same would apply if Son had just nudged him in the back. Doesn't make it a red card.
