there's still a large number of fans sleeping on the fact that all the sides have very good players now .. I hear them saying " we should be beating teams like such and such" and tbh why ? outside the top 4 to 6 teams max anyone can beat anyone history matters not the games changed they all have money
I don't think there is an easy game in this league tbh, anyone can beat anyone. Just look at the results today for instance. Some very close results for the top 2.
Just watching MOTD, that new commentator Vicki Sparks......eeew, what a horrid voice!! Not against women commentators per se, but you gotta get one with a nice voice. She sounds like a cat getting castrated!! She sounds like Denise Van Outen, if she had a 60 a day smoking habit
we haven't deserved to win. It's not the getting beat, it's the how. I'm not 'shocked' we conceded 3 in 50 minutes at home to Mike Ashley's Newcastle because it's been the same lacklustre display for over a month. We've been smashed out of the cup by Oxford and managed to scrape 1 point from 3 home games from Palace, Sheffield United & Newcastle with a very flattering 2-0 loss to Everton away in between. We have the players, it's the mentality, approach and line-ups which come from Pellegrini our 'attack minded' coach that doesn't set up to attack with any purpose. we hit the halfway line and stop to wait for the opposition defence to get into position then kick the ball around a bit with no real purpose.
most of the **** seem to think that "commentating" is just spouting off a load of stats for 5 minutes...
people and fans are far too into using stats too … going into went ham I heard Newcastle haven't won away for 3 games …. erm yeah at Liverpool, Leicester with 10 men and Chelsea, so it's hardly a stat even worth mentioning. It's all bullshit imo and you can read very little from most stats anyway.
I agree West Ham we're poor mate, but sometimes teams just have the ohers number and I think out counter attacking style was what made the difference n the day .. We will now lose at home to Bournemouth , so don't worry mate I think it's just becoming a league where consistency is all but impossible bar maybe 4 teams max
You’re an easy third (at worst), Frank’s doing a great job and it must be a great time for you with the young squad. Much more satisfying than spending mega money. As for us, it’s nice whilst it’s lasting but a couple of changes in manager for the big names and some unsettling of Rodgers and out key players in January but the ‘big 6’ fuelled media and the same 6 will be top 6. If the likes of Everton and West Ham continue to be **** and Wolves up and down, we can finish 7th though which is a couple of places higher than I’d have thought at the start of the season.
Arsenal, Spurs and particularly United are absolute ****e. While Solskjaer is there you’re getting top six no problem.
They’ll not keep Solskjaer on though, I agree if he stays all season they’ll be mid table but they will definitely make a change. Whether Arsenal and Spurs do I don’t know. Spurs will come back strong regardless I reckon, Arsenal probably hang on in there and Man Utd as above. The media will do all they can to asset strip us in Jan as well. Either way we won’t sustain our start
Long way to go yet, and I agree about Spurs, but think you should definitely be targeting Arsenal and United. Both look very poor and I give you a great chance if you can keep your key players fit.
At least they both dropped points yesterday as we are due one of our twice a season pastings from Palace this afternoon. In our last 4 meetings they have won all 4 with an aggregate score of 13-1
You at home or away? Could be a tough match at Selhurst, they've been better than I thought they would so far tbf.
Can’t see such an entitled fanbase buying into watching Aubameyang as a second left-back grinding out a 1-0 at home to Brighton.
