You using it for work or pleasure? Mileage for work must be the pits, cracking motor btw, ooze class..<ok>

yeah use it for work. Get decent expenses 45p a mile. Though I want a car that does 50mpg. The jag does about 40 on the motorway and about 28 round town. I’d give up a bit of power for economy. Don’t think I could cope with a drop below 210bhp mind.

Decent cars the Alpha's.. Always had the style but used to be let down by reliability, that's no longer a problem now..

I don’t know anything about them. Nor do I know anyone that owns one. I just like the look of them.

I’d love an SUV love the e pace and the Porsche macan. They are all a bit under powered.

Big and hefty, I much prefer sleek motors. Alpha Romeo is worth a look but coming from a XFS might be a problem in terms of build and quality for you. Some good BM's out there and Merc Coupe's if you really want to roll eyes..<ok>

I do quite like the latest c class mercs. The interiors of the new mercs are lovely. Just not sure the budget will stretch that far. Probably not going to change for about 6 months anyway. I do like talking about motors though. Hence the bump. Was it you and burley who loved mercs?

Yes it was, he had a new GLS, big awesome beast, I have a CLK coupe, love the style of the CLK and mines very low mileage and good on the eye..The new C class Mercs are top drawer, was looking at a 3 litre coupe recently, the newer version of mine..

I’m not up on UK prices, but here in Europe you can pick up about a 3 yr old 430/435 gran coupe for between €20-25k. I’m considering it myself.

may issue with mercs has always been the drastic style changes make them age badly. I’ve never driven one. I do like the merc suv range too. Gla, glc both lovely. They do a flash interior on them there is a half black an tan leather one. Looks really smart.

210bhp and 50+ mpg?

Good luck.
