Watched this all way through, just wanted to thank Smug In Boots for posting what he was told. Its a no win situation and a thankless exercise

I hope the Americans have learnt some lessons from what Short went through and don't make the same mistakes with people, players and money.

I doubt a part of the fans have.

Onwards and upwards, hopefully

Does that mean they have purchased shares or am I being thick lol

It looks like a share buy back by the club as far as I can tell. I’m not qualified though so beyond that I’m not sure what’s happening. When the documents are made public it’ll probably make more sense.

Apparently someone has jumped the gun & shot their mouth off before an official announcement tomorrow

Wouldn't like to be in their shoes

SAFC Ltd and Sunderland Ltd have reduced their share capital and share premium accounts from around £252m and to £1m. This is a perfectly legitimate procedure as long as the company is solvent so the directors have to make that statement. It doesn't require any cash or writing off e.g. of £20m loans. The share capital reduction will credit the profit & loss reserves turning them from accumulated losses to accumulated profits. This will allow any future excess profits to be paid out as dividends.

The press are saying the investment is in Madrox Ltd which owns 100% of Sunderland Ltd which in turn owns 100% of SAFC Ltd. Madrox Ltd is owned by SD 74%, JS 20% and CM 6% via their respective companies. Apparently those ratios will not change. This can only mean it is some sort of loan for now, hopefully like the one I described here: https://www.not606.com/threads/serious-takeover-talk.376788/page-457#post-13246612

Doesn't have to be a loan. Could be a cash injection based on certain conditions.

As the agreement is confidential guess we'll not know until FPP are ready to comment.

So I suggest we enjoy the simple fact that we will now be getting an actual scouting network back in place, investment in our youth teams and infrastructure and a hopefully long and profitable partnership for all parties.
