    Great to see Torres SCORE, let the flood gates open finally...bet other PL fans will be nervous that he scored his 1st this season against Man Utd of all teams!

    Who cares about the miss, there are many many worse ones in history, check out no. 1 and no. 2, how could you ever live that down? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFdICYKCnck&feature=related

    On another note, found a gem of an insane save: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKjO4C6tbWw

    Loving that Meireles, Mata, Sturridge, Torres combination, chop and change the 2 either side in midfield, when Anelka came on...what a difference. Time for Lampard to start being replaced by McEachran: he deserves his shot (and it would be beneficial for England without a doubt)

    <ok>

    I second this - everybody is on Torres back, but no one notices Lampard's decline. Just because he is a midfielder he gets far less attention.
    And Torres is back.

    Yep, have to agree.

    Read a piece by henry Winter today backing Lampard, but in a more deep lying role for both club and country...not quite sure if i can see that happening, more likely to play in Italy or Spain for two seasons, but you never know<ok>

    Saw that too SW6, can't see him successfully changing his ways now at age 33. He also made a good point that Lamps always makes a slow start to his season, hopefully that's the case this season too. He won't be the 20 goal man we once had again, but he certainly is an excellent influence on the squad and there's life in the old dog yet <ok>

    The thing is Lampard suits Drogba, not Torres...

    The 4231 with Mata in the free role works a treat...

    Sad to say it, but unless he adapts it could be time to say farewell...I'd be gutted:(

    Yeah, like to see how AVB would go about that formation. It would surely suit the players we have BUT Mikel would definitely have to play in every game ensuring an anchorman? I also don't think we have enough width to carry out this formation, Sturridge is like a new signing don't get me wrong but who would play the opposite side if Mata's in the hole? Not sure I trust the rest of them to do the job well to be honest. Neymar anyone???

    Oh and I'd also be gutted if Lamps fails, had him on every shirt since Zola left :(
