You will struggle to see any stories of any kind about the club as hes taking most of them to court atm

If the stories are defamatory I don't have a problem with that per se
However as a club we have been crap at getting the local and national media onside, we've virtually given Newcastle a free run to present themselves as the regions team.
CM needs to look closely at how the club is presenting itself and start emphasising the positives, however small at the moment.

I get your point. But national media don't give a sh#t about League One football. How many stories do you see about Lincoln or Accrington in the national press? Doesn't matter that we're a big fish. We're still in League One. You never heard anything about Wolves, Southampton or Man City when they were down here. It's not until they got close to being back in the Premier League that their League One time was even mentioned.

You have to dig about four clicks in on BBC just to get to our page now. There'll be no interest until we're back in the Premier League and then it'll the focus on how we got there from the doldrums of League One.

Let's be fair the media didn't give a toss about us in the premier league

You are bang on mate, I was going to reply something similar...League 1 and the championship to some degree just isn't news or headline. The premier league is all that matters to the press simple as that. We can bang on as much as we like that Newcastle occupy all the football press from the north east but until we get back up there, that.s how it is going to be. Just look at how the national press has been all over the Newcastle's proposed takeovers...Headline news about Peter Kenyon and the Arab a few months ago...Phone ins and debate on talksport....All the while where our proposed investors are some of the worlds richest people....Really hasn't been any press release about any of Sunderland's 'investment' in the nationals at all...just relying on local press tweets and snippets.

Not sure we even improved. Willis maybe, Budge as second keeper.

McNulty if he can stay fit would be the big one I imagine, he could make all the difference.
Yeah I think Willis and Lynch will strengthen us but we’re much worse at full back and because of Ross’ system that’s where we were vulnerable already. We also miss Cattermole’s drive in central midfield. McNulty as you say needs to stay fit because the other two options aren’t going to score many goals.

No reason why not imo.

In the meantime the team need to concentrate on giving everyone a lift.

They have to snap out of what looks like some kind of lethargy and start quickly against Tranmere.
For me, if anyone is effected by what is happening off the pitch they should be out of the squad and sold in January.

It was a valid excuse in the championship but not now. I think it's largely to do with the squad itself. We've looked poor since Feb/March.

I would the say the major drop off in performances have been since the checkatrade. Weve just not recovered since then.

When we were in the premier league and doing well
And we did for a few seasons
We had little coverage on sky and we were hardly mentioned
Sky now has a programme premiership past years
We hardly mentioned in them programmes aswell
Even though SKP won the golden boot

Yeh mate
Even though we have a poor team
The team is still good enough to get us promoted
We need to snap out of this lackadaisical approach and battle our way up
We all new it wasn’t going to be easy after last year
So they should of at least realised that
Onward and upward

We need to attack as a team. Not leave the forward isolated. Get people into the box. Standard simple football stuff that we have seemingly forgotten about. It's a simple game that we've somehow manage to make difficult.

Just passing on what I’ve been told here
could well be bullshit

it’s done announcement soon
Thes payment plans set up for when we get back into the champ and the prem, so each time we get promoted the take more % in the club, that’s where the sun story come from but the twisted it, Parkinson was the only one who would take the job under the circumstances, the delays on the announcement for him was the were hoping to announce the investment with him
