Like 'Soap' this thread has been brilliantly entertaining, and a 'release' from more 'serious' things . . . . thanks for the reminder about that fantastic series :emoticon-0105-wink:

We are like that series mate.
Dysfunctional and crazy but once one of the best,
We will get back on top one day.
Hopefully in my lifetime.

Yeah see that mate, haven't been on here for a long time now and just responding to a few notifications, haven't had a chance to go thru all the threads yet. How's things going on here anyway?
Picked up very busy there has been a lot of new posters
Hope you are well
And here to stay keep posing mate

Second chance <laugh>

He's been doing it for years mate and it's always the same excuse as if he was first out of the landing craft on D-Day.

No sorry, it's more often 'sorry lads I was drunk'.

He comes on to lash out, laps up the laughs but apologises if he doesn't get any.

He didn't have any time, for this board or 'his mates' , until he thought he was missing out.

He contributes virtually nothing on here tbh ....

... strictest confidence <doh>
Well said..the old I was drunk really grates.
Like people who are or get drunk on planes resulting in fighting, disruption or even forced landings.
Oh sorry I was drunk.
35000 ft in the air and the terror especially if kids on board.
You wouldn't excuse these people if they smacked out of their skull on ice or cocaine.
Why should alcohol be treated any different

No worries been a canny while now

They worked in bartrams and pickies

I was over the water at Coles Cranes, i never worked in the ship yards. Back then you had to have a relative working in the yards just to get in and i never. All my family were down the pits and there was no way i was going down there so i opted for Coles and never looked back really.
