Accrington are defending well and look like they are going to see this out, but have a problem with Bishop who looks to be suffering from a groin injury.

Is it decent weather over there today? Not be long before the pitch starts to cut up again and flood

Accrington are a very physical side. That seems to be the way in L1 - we need to find a way to get that physicality into our team and start roughing other teams up

Be nice if we stopped giving away so many soft free kicks too

Accrington defended well, some big players Sykes was winning all the high balls into the box before he was sent off but they still looked solid and saw the game out comfortably, the standard was typical of this league from what I saw, hope springs eternal. We are 8 points behind Ipswich with same games played. Doable ? I think possible tbh.

Very much so.
Parkinson has already said that we made too many silly mistakes in crucial areas.
Hopefully he csn coach those silly little things out ( in time ).
The little percentages count.
While acknowledging afikenwa(sp ) is a physical beast it's a bit upsetting that such an obviously unfit man made lynch look rather puny and it's not like he's a 6 st weakling. I just dont believe his timing or his reading of the game is up to scratch.
Here's hoping parkinson irons such weaknesses out

Can we use this thread to keep everything in here rather than have separate threads every time, Newcastle, Everton or Accrington Stanley, play?

Next up today is the North West derby...

How bad does that Utd team look. Defence and GK are decent. Maguire looking solid and Lindelof is looking much more secure these days. Wan Bissaka looks very good but Young and Shaw aren't good enough on the left. The midfield is awful. Upfront James had an early purple patch but he's faded since then and not made an impact. Rashford is good but he'll never be world class. Pereira is bang average going on what he's shown so far. The best player, Martial, is returning from injury and starts on the bench.

I can see Liverpool being too strong for them and winning by a couple goals, today.
