It’s odd, innit? One minute Remainers say it’s a parliamentary democracy so we should ignore the results of the 2016 referendum and let our far more knowledgeable MPs do their thang. The next minute they’re saying there should be another referendum for the people to decide.

Pandora’s box is open now. If you’d asked MPs four years ago it would have been trounced and the EU was a minor issue for the vast majority of people. Now people have had the chance to demand a dog **** sandwich there’d be immense bitterness if they aren’t given the chance to eat it. MPs would be under immense pressure to vote for dogshit sandwiches.

Well it does exist and you really need to read up before coming back with an incorrect answer. By the way they won't have a choice with national service.
It's been made pretty clear about passports. My mate in Germany has been told to he needs to change his driving licence to an EU one and advised to have an EU passport in which he has to give up his UK one.
Many people getting other passports never realised the the implications. If we go out on a no deal these people will have problems and will ultimately have to make a decision.
You do not have to give up your UK passport in order to take German nationality Ellers ! As long as the naturalization application is in before a hard Brexit (ie. without deal) or within the transition period. I have both a German and a British passport. The only EU countries which do not allow dual nationality with the UK. are Spain, Austria and the Netherlands.

I really cannot wait for this to be over. It will be good to clear out most of these waster MPs when we get a GE. Grieve and Co won't be around ( thank God) to moan and stop democracy.

So minor an issue that over 72% turned out to give their view compared to barely 60% at most GEs.

In my humble opinion, I think boris will get the billionaire brexit deal through with a larger majority than thought. I do worry about his refusal to share an impact statement on such a deal as surely if it was a positive one then he would be handing out everywhere. I do not trust this man, I do not trust the tories but he will get it passed.

Well my mate has been told within the last 2 weeks so unless you work at the passport office I have to believe him on this. He wouldn't say it unless that's what he was told.
I was always on the understanding that you could have dual nationality, I.e you always keep your British passport. However with greater EU integration and rule changes I think this will change. However I take on board your comments are no-deal

Begrudging common sense.

The time wasted has been that of Parliament.

I’d have been foolish enough to have supported May’s deal, however, but I’m glad it failed and we’ve got to this one, though.

What makes this deal better than May's?

Yes. The joys of FPTP making most votes meaningless and a boatload of rhetoric about how Brussels and random foreigners were making life **** for people. It was demonstrably not in people’s main concerns and suddenly became really important in 2016. I’ll dig a graph out if you like.

Mmm now it would appear Hammond and Gauke will vote for it. That's another 2 I thought wouldn't.
Funny it's like turkeys wanting Christmas because they will both be gone after.

Well, it’s not hers for starters! As I understand it, we lose the backstop and push self-determination back to the NI Assembly. If the Good Friday Agreement is so monumental and sacrosanct, perhaps it’s time the NI politicians grew up and re-engaged. I’d take Trimble’s opinion over most in that arena, and he’s backing it.

I think your might might just be talking bollox, Ellers.

Is he a good mate ?
Staines why do you need to come out with comment like that? No need fella. What do you know about passports and driving licences in the EU? Don't come across as stupid as ’plasterboy’ you are better than that.

Just stating a fact. It wasn’t an issue for most people. The Tory party have made this whole distraction and mugs have fallen for it and continue to do so.

Groundhog Day.

Don’t fear mate, you undemocratic mates in Parliament may still win through for you.
