i know some people either have no interest whatsoever in what former club employees get up to and others suddenly despise anyone that leaves, but some of us do take an interest. in order to make things easier for the uninterested or the sudden despisers, i thought a single thread housing any and all posts about the departed would stop such posts from being scattered all over the forum. i know some like to limit the number of posts and merge everything into one thread.

anyway, phil parkinson is the new sunderland manager.

Surprised nobody has mentioned what Liam Cooper said earlier.

As if it’s ever been that dichotomy anyway – certainly not in my lifetime, nor his.

It’s either City or one of (but sometimes as well as) Liverpool/ Man Utd/Arsenal plus whoever is doing well at that given point.

Kids who just start on Leeds, a team that’s been a Championship/League 1 club for most of this century will be very few and far between. The ones that are, will have some older prick pulling the strings for them, supplanting ideas etc.

It’d be much more valid if Dan James said something similar about supporting us or United when he was growing up.

Next week: Max Clark. Vitesse are such a ****ing huge club, ‘round our way you grew up supporting Hull or Feyenoord. I chose Vitesse. Sort of.

Exceptionally poor from Liam Cooper.

Lets his home city down , his profession down and - you know what?- most of all he lets himself down..

I still see the odd middle age cuck in town self-consciously modelling the latest figure-hugging vermin Kappa leisure wear.

They clambered aboard the bandwagon in the Paul Madeley era and like that bloke who lives in the isolated farm house that splits the M62, they have never accepted reality, stopped being a **** and moved on.

What a disastrous, craven, spineless choice they made all those years ago,

May they continue to feel they backed the wrong team and feel wretched, like a silly **** with a Betamax recorder.

Shame about Parko going to SAFC, he's a decent chap and deserves better.

My ex was married twice before she fell for me.
After we separated I became known as "Richard the Third - part I".
Will S. almost wrote a play about us !
