It was an absolute priveledge to be in attendence yesterday for a historic game. I have never felt adreniline nor an atmosphere like it. I was so proud of the players for their 2nd half performance and the heart they showed, and of the crowd for not giving up on the lads.

I wonder though, about the "supporters" who walked out after 10 minutes. When people talk about the game in years to come, will they admit that they walked out on their club and team, or will they lie and smile as they reminisce about being there when Tiote's goal hit the back of the net. Who needs them - not real fans! As long as we play in Black and White and call ourselves Newcastle United, I'll never stop loving my team.

Also, despite the lack of a fifth winning goal (not to be greedy) I scored my own small victory after leaving the ground. After the Arsenal fans pelted us sat below them with coins and such, I picked up a £1 coin which had narrowly missed my head and used it to buy a scratch card. £80 in my back pocket helped the nights celebrations along just lovely - thanks Arsenal! <laugh>

  2. Around 2000 left, and a few thousand people booed at half time. These 4-5k "fans" should **** off.

I don't remember seeing any empty seats around us. We did say at half time "We could go to the pub". Obviously we didn't - Phew!

Said we'd go if they got a fifth, great decision in the end though <ok>

And btw I dont think it was unfair to boo the off at half time, the players would be the first to admit they deserved it.

you could see by the highlights on the bbc and the full time footage they showed on soccer saturday that it was pretty much still a full house.

    a couple hundred did leave.
