I thought NC U21's still had an outside chance depending on Crawley's next game and GD's etc.?

Yes CS, you're right - Crawley equalised just past the hour mark when Ashley Nathaniel-George fired home after his first effort had been blocked. But it was an impressive young City side who had the final say to record a first win in the competition after two defeats and maintain a slim chance of progressing from the group stages.

Some game at Anfield tonight. Liverpool went 3-0 up inside 30 minutes, RB Salzburg got a goal back on 39, then pulled it back to 3-3. Latest score 4-3 to Liverpool!! <yikes>
Edit - Red Bull seem to sponsor quite a lot of sports.

Evidently Southgate didn't want to go through qualification unbeaten, in order to temper expectations when the actual tournament starts. Good psychological forward planning ..............

If the game in Bulgaria is abandoned due to racist chanting,
what happens about points?
Is it 1 each or do England get all 3 as they're leading?

More of a temporary hiatus. The astounding thing about all this is tha in theory the protocols for halting the match have been around for 10 years and yet this was the first time any thing has been done. Have to say it was pretty clear there was more than one 3rd instance and which wonld have meant the game fully abandoned. I do wonder if England had discussed this at halftime and decided to play on regardless?
As for the Bulgarian excuss for a human being manager who heard nothing! If they had some one with a shread of integrity as manager who would condemn the behavior maybe there would be some hope for Bulgarian football, but his clear condoning on the behavior says much about how far away from civility they are.

Bah!

And when it is implemented as correctly as it has been in those ten years, the fourth official is from Rijeka, where Croatia recently had to play a match behind closed doors for similar offences, and the EUFA official is from Italy - just ask Romelu Lukaku about racist taunts in some cities over there! <doh>

Can't start excluding people because of their origins otherwise the point is missed. Not every Italian is a racist because they have their share of idiots. But each and every one of the officials should be trained to recognise and act accordingly to any unsavoury abuse.

Bah!

Finished 1-1 at OT and a couple of VAR decisions again.
I was looking forward to it being implemented, but IMO, it seems to be causing more problems than it's solving.
