There where 3 referee key incidents in yesterday's game, the first being when Leon Barnett tried to clear a ball but went in very late and ended up going backside first into Klasnic's face. It's really quite uncomfortable to watch if I'm honest, but he didn't mean to, and there's no way anybody can say it should be a red card. Maybe a yellow, but would still of had no effect on the game's outcome.

Next is the Bolton red card. No questions it's a red card for the aggression, but Tierney makes the whole thing look farcical by going down like that, and I have lost a bit of respect for one of our best players. However Tierney does have a right to go down, because if he didn't the referee might not of noticed and Klasnic might of got away with it. So Tierney behaviour is embarrassing, but it's still a red, and still no effect on the result.

Finally the penalty. It's a penalty because it's a silly foul. It's unnecessary, but because the Bolton player is hardly in a good position to shoot, there's no way you could claim Barnett should be booked (Or many a second booking) for it.

So to conclude for the benefit of all the stupid Binners, we weren't lucky, the referee didn't help us, he reached the correct decisions, we've still had **** luck with the referees and 1 - 2 is the right result.
 
I have not seen all the angles of the red card incident but from what little I have seen, it did not look like Klasnic actually made a forward movement with his head! Looked like two Rams going head to head and having a push at worst.
 
1Barnett is just a big clumsy lump, zero intent there. 2 No complaints about this pen. 3 After last week with C Martin being dragged all over the place and leaned on and Vaughany getting smashed in the face Lambo has probably told them to make the most of any fouls ... Zero complaints, why should we play fair and get robbed every week?...
 
Dangerous - it was mainly the hypocrisy of all the complaints about cheating and then your own man collapsing like a deck of cards.

But anyway the joke is wearing thin now, certainly I don't make a habit of coming over here, I did get a bit carried away although I think it was pretty well warranted. Anyway have a good remainder of the weekend y'all and no doubt we'll be hearing from you tomorrow night if we dont beat Cov <ok>

No-one could make any judgement about whether there was even contact from the camera angles.
 
I think the term cheating is a bit harsh, as I say he has a right to go down, but I've said I am embarrassed by his actions, so I am certainly not being hypocritical.

If there is contact it isn't enough to knock a man over that's for sure, but if even Coyle isn't arguing the red card, then you can't say it's cheating.

If that is the case then none of us can argue that it was or was not a warranted red card incident. Naturally, being on the side that got the decision working in our favour (on the back of recent weeks) then I am going to take it. Right or wrong, it is a harsh reality of PL life. There is a raised level of gamesmanship and if you don't take part you are going to suffer.
 
Personally speaking, that horrible headbutt would of knocked anybody else spark out - its only because Tierney is so hard that Klasnic only managed to knock him to the floor.

That's true! Baggieliz, the only Baggie to grace our boards said we have to struggle to survive the 1st season, then, from the 2nd season on, we'd start to get our fair share of the decisions!

I think it was a penalty but a soft one.

The Tierney incident I think was fair as well. Howard Webb has said players should go down to help refs. Maybe not that easily though. Had Tierney not reacted the way he did I doubt there would be a red card for something that should be a red card anyway. Although I wouldn't want it as a Norwich fan, as a fan of football I think the FA should look into what Tierney did and give him a warning or something.

I think there was an over reaction from people about the flying Barnett incident. That sort of thing happens all the time and they say he was very late, but the slow motion doesn't help. The ball, and Barnett, were probably travelling a lot faster than the replays showed.
 
Penalty, yes.
Red card, yes, but I found Tierney's reaction cringeworthy and I hope we don't see it again.
Barnett, I think should have been a yellow, but if it were against city I'd probably be screaming for a red.
 
1. Klasnic high foot that's why Barnett flew in the air like he did Webb was going to give us a free kick to us for that Klasnic technically made the first foul there was no intent from Barnett whatsoever he just want a boot in his face.

2. Yes it was a red card. Tierney made a meal out of it but didn't Di Santo with the penalty at Wigan as did Steven Reid? Klasnic leaned in albeit not with a great deal of force. Irrelevant we were 2-0 up anyway deservedly 11 versus 11.

3. This was a penalty I have no complaints my only annoyance was we had the chance to clear it before the foul Rusty's only fault of the game was not to clear that straight out before Pratley hooked the ball back. Barnett did clip Ngog it was a penalty out of the 5 given against 2 Definately Chelsea and Bolton the other 3 weren't penalties however I can see why the Wigan one was given but hey ho we got the deserved victory whether you're a Bolton fan and you feel aggrived we were the better team on the day and we dserved the victory.
 
Yes Tierney made a meal of it and yes it was a bit embarrassing to watch it but unfortunately that is the Premier League way now-a-days.

Sinky has already mention Di Santo and Reid and then there's Walters against Liverpool last week and all three pens in the Everton/Blackburn match. Its just something we have to reluctantly accept, being a Premier League side means our players are now susceptible to being beaten up by the residents of the maternity ward.
