It kooks like the **** has hit the fan for the Clarissa Shields - Ivana Habazin WBC title clash. The WBC has pulled the pin on the bout after Habazin's trainer was assaulted. He's been hospitalised with head injuries. The old guy in the blue cap ends up being the victim. In the first clip, he's in the face of Clarissa Shields' gay sister. (shaved head with T highlighted.)

No thread at all would be better for it.

I know there are a lot of people into the UFC, but for mine, they are pretty sub-standard when it comes to boxing abilities. Awful. Below is the replay of the World Welterweight clash from a few hours ago.

I stayed up and watched this. I found myself quite sad that my favourite current fighter has slipper so far down the ladder now.
Take nothing away from the other fella , but GGG was awful. And I will be incredibly disappointed with his management team should GGG ever step in the ring again.

It was sad DB. More sad though is the thought of GGG having 4 more fights with DAZN. I think he's only 2 fights into a 6 bout deal which brings him 8 figures per fight. From what I gather, they are planning 2 fights in 2020 and the same in 2021.

I have to confess that up until today, I'd never heard of Mighty Joe Ward. He's one of the most decorated amateur to come out of Ireland. He'a 3 time medalist at the World Amateur Championships, 3 time Gold Medalist at the European Amateur Championships and a former Gold Medalist at the World Youth Championships and Gold Medalist at the World Junior Championships.

Yesterday, on the undercard of the GGG - Derevyenchenko bout, Mighty Joe stepped into the ring for his first pro bout. Less than a minute into the second round ... and it was all over. <yikes>

Yes it is more sad that he is contractually obliged to fight 4 more times. Love the guy, but he is going to end his career as younger fighters punch bags.

He looked awful last night did GGG, I hope if he is fighting again that he was struggling with motivation as opposed to declining, but at 37 perhaps that’s what it is.

I’d hate for him to fight Canelo a third time and lose convincingly because of Father Time as opposed to anything else.

It looks as though Oleksandr Usyk's first heavyweight opponent Tyrone Spong might be pulled from the bout after VADA uncovered an adverse finding in his test. Spong tested positive to clomiphene. According to a site called The Ring, Clomiphene is an anti-estrogenic substance that is used to treat infertility in women, but can also be used to increase testosterone circulation.

Who'd have though there were drug problems in sport? I'm shocked.

Ffs Usyk is going to be about 40 before he actually gets to fight at Heavyweight.

On another note, I know boxers arent renowned as intellectuals, but every man and his dog knows that they are regularly drug tested. So guys that are found guilty are either thick as fk or their training teams have a blatant disregard for their fighters well being and health.

I personally blame their teams as they are supposed to monitor everything a boxer intakes at all times whilst in camp.

I think Usyk will still fight, but a new opponent is yet to be named.

One of the common myths about the famous "Rumble in the Jungle" is that Ali after taking a pounding on the ropes, was behind on points before pulling out a much needed, miracle KO win. Nothing can be further from the truth. Ali led on all three cards. 66-68, 66-69 & 67-70.

Ring Magazine's 1974 Round of the Year. Round 8.

I'm not too sure how many people know that Joe Parker, Derek "War" Chisora's opponent for his October 26 clash, has been sidelined with an illness. This left Matchroom scurrying about looking for a new opponent. The new man is the lanky Scot Dave Price. What a match up. A pressure fighter against a long limbed boxer with a suspected dodgy chin. It could be a fun watch.
